November 17, 20214 yr Do you honestly think she’s sat there and signed 30,000 in the Uk alone plus the US ones and the worldwide ones! Interns been busy :) I don't know.. I find the idea that she would be happy to cheat her fans equally difficult to believe. Well, maybe not Taylor. ^_^ I like to think most people would say no though.

November 17, 20214 yr If you've got a load of CDs or prints lined up, you can actually do about 30 autographs a minute (I tried it myself for fun!). So a few thousand is relatively easy. 30,000 would take 16 hours though. I guess 2 hours a day for a week would do it... though it is surprising that megastars that sell well anyway feel the need to bother. On the other hand, the more you do, the bigger the impact. It's not worth Ed Sheeran doing 1000 signed CDs when he'll sell those anyway. But 30,000 is the difference between another week at number 1 I guess. There’s nothing to say she only started signing this week. The album was announced in June and CD’s don’t take as long to produce as vinyls, she’s probably been signing them for months now and as she tweeted, a large amount were “allocated” to the UK rather than being signed specifically with the UK in mind
November 17, 20214 yr If 30k sales have to be added for Taylor her sales are far beyond what i was expecting as i honestly thought she had no chance of number 1, if those 30k are added Taylor should easily break 60k this week although for myself i would have preferred Abba holding on or Little Mix getting it. Maybe Abba should have done signed cds this week.
November 17, 20214 yr I don't know.. I find the idea that she would be happy to cheat her fans equally difficult to believe. Well, maybe not Taylor. ^_^ I like to think most people would say no though. I have to say aside from the Cardi B, Lizzo etc fiasco most signed items I’ve ordered are real, not auto penned and comparable to to autographs I’ve got in person. I think after acts have been called out relentlessly on social media for auto penned graphs they would be reluctant to do them now? Hence why some artists sell out quick as they limit them so much. However with lead times for vinyl so long it’s entirely plausible that artists are signing batches months before release (unless you are LM who only ever seem to want to release 100 signed CDs  ).
November 17, 20214 yr I'm assuming you view LM's endless signed bundles with the same hesitancy then? Of course! I think most acts have someone sign them. Especially when artists like Ed have signed over 100,000 items! Little Mix however, have signed nowhere near 30,000 units in just the UK (3,500 max going from all the stock levels since they started) Edited November 17, 20214 yr by Mr. C. Joel

November 17, 20214 yr There's no way little mix are signing their own stuff. Especially Perrie and Leigh Anne.
November 17, 20214 yr Is it just Taylor there’s info on at present any news on anyone else? From the looks of it it’s looking like #2 may be the real battle if Taylor’s stormed ahead that much.
November 17, 20214 yr Is it just Taylor there’s info on at present any news on anyone else? From the looks of it it’s looking like #2 may be the real battle if Taylor’s stormed ahead that much. Two is set in stone, in fact it looks like it will be 1 Taylor 2 ABBA 3 Ed 4 Little Mix
November 17, 20214 yr I see Mr Joel is getting the same treatment I’ve gotten when I’ve questioned anything with regards to Taylor’s stunts. Pack mentality.
November 17, 20214 yr ^I disagree, think it's a super cool and super interesting title Kind of you to keep undertakers exceptionally busy with all these dead takes. The Cardigans did it so much better. huobAY7gl30
November 17, 20214 yr Wow that’s incredible numbers for Taylor then! I’d have preferred ABBA to get a second week but with those numbers she deserves it. Given how difficult it is to sell albums these days I think any tactics to get the numbers up within the rules are fair enough really.
November 17, 20214 yr Two is set in stone, in fact it looks like it will be 1 Taylor 2 ABBA 3 Ed 4 Little Mix Surprised that LM will miss the Top 3, even though GH are really hard sells these days with streaming basically making the concept redundant - however I’ve not seen much (any?) promo from them (appreciate 2 of them are on Mat leave though but assumed we would get something?).
November 17, 20214 yr Still not sure what gone happen elbow and darkness next week go top 10 get crowed in there
November 17, 20214 yr Roughly 30k signed CDs have been added to Taylor's total. She has a massive lead now. Ffs. 30,000 is a cursed number. That is really impressive though, fair play to her. At this rate I can see her reaching #1 with all of her re-recordings (maybe not the self-titled unless it drops on a super dead week but the rest should all have a good chance if she's pulled this off this week).

Yeah it's definitely a more low key release for them (all of their other albums had some big prime time performances, this is the first not to), but cant be helped due to babies etc. They're back to promo in a couple of weeks and are performing on Graham Norton. It's doing very well for a (oddly marketed) Greatest Hits.
November 17, 20214 yr Oh my Taylor What I find incredibly is there is such demand For a signed cd of hers 30k is nuts
