November 17, 20214 yr My personal feeling on formats and signings is formats are what they are and as much as it's just getting the same fans to buy loads of copies the fans know what they are paying for and get it. Where as signatures if they aren't done by the artists then the fan is being conned and not receiving what they thought they were which is bad. Little Mix have a habit of calling something signed and it being some art card insert which is also a con and misleading.
November 17, 20214 yr I don’t really get the excitement about signed items. I’d get it if there were only a couple hundred or something so they were hard to find items, but having over 30,000 makes it seem a bit worthless.
November 17, 20214 yr I don’t have any problem with signed copies, however it seems quite not certain that she signed all 30,000 copies by herself. Once I signed 2,000 letters and it took me the whole day to do so. And I’m not a super busy multi-millionaire with loads of businesses and activities to handle. And if there’s anything to object, it’s that if she actually didn’t sign them, and that would be misleading and manipulating the charts. But again, why would she even bother with fake signings, especially given UK isn’t her biggest market?

So many artists do the signed insert thing - it's normally identical to the album cover and you can slot it in front of the booklet. Behind me now on my wall I've got signed inserts from Luke Hemmings, Natalie Imbruglia and Laura Mvula.

They went up against spice girls, britney spears, eminem, oasis, U2 and would have double no1 albums if they hadnt

For example for red TV there were 65k for us, around 2k for international fans and 30k for UK, but is the first time that she signed albums for UK.

There were 4 or 5 weeks just for "folklore" when the sales jumped from 10-12k to more than 100k, just enough for the album to be #1 in the US.
