Me too, and my Top 5 are intact which is great. I’ve moved up the league table quite a bit since the Top 50.

Into the Groove is great, vintage Madonna but didn’t absolutely stand out as something I wanted to vote for. Relax is an incredible composition but not one I choose to listen to especially.

I bought all 4 of those 24-21 at the time, and rate them all highly, but Kraftwerk is really 70's (and I get mildly peeved that Kraftwerk seem to get solo credit for inventing synth music, when they just specialised in darker, quirky synth music amongst other pioneers like Giorgio Moroder, Jean-Michel Jarre, Space etc and Bowie who was directly influenced by Kraftwerk I'd say), Into The Groove isn't Madonna at her very best, but it's pretty good, and the other 2 should be top 20. You Win Again is Depeche Mode-influenced via Maurice Gibb, so that can be traced back to Kraftwerk too as influencers on Depeche. Relax is a stunning record, really thought that would be top 10.

Nice to have 13 of the top 20 though considering how many classics I had to give zero points to. Though it seems everybody else voted for a lot of the top 20 too. Of the 7 I didn't vote for 1 wasn't even close, 3 were also-rans I rate, and 3 were fairly close to points. So there's only one I'm going to grumble about making the top 10, cos I just don't get it :D

Into The Groove is so catchy, great tune, is certainly quite dancey with its proto-house bassline and is my favourite 80s Madonna hit.

Relax is very good but Two Tribes is better imo.

Actually very surprised Madonna only has one remaning, I thought she'd have multiple top 10 entries! I still expect that one left to be a big contender to win though.
I mean the one Madonna song left in this countdown used to be my favourite Madonna track of the 80s but hearing Into The Groove on TOTP BBC4 reruns a year or so ago when it was on 1985 really made me appreciate the song, plus that other song has become a bit overplayed on the radio over the years I think.

lol at me with less songs left only 5 left in the top 20. Well, at least my top 2 is still to come.

I wonder which Pet Shop Boys song left will be out first. I think it will be It's a Sin.

Where as I'd guess It's a Sin would be their highest - we shall see!

Really happy to see A-Ha in the final 20, that's done much better than I expected it to ^_^

I wonder which Pet Shop Boys song left will be out first.

West End Girls, the rest are all-time classics.

I didn't vote for any songs from 21st-30th places.

How "Ride On Time" finished so high ? :puke2:

Perhaps we should have excluded Imagine, The Model and anything which originated pre-1980 from the voting, and put Last Christmas, Should I Stay Or Should I Go and anything else from the 80s which reached #1 in a later decade here instead...

Relax is such a good track and had such controversy at the time. Even the sleeve artwork pushes the boundaries.

Into The Groove was the best Madonna song up to that point. Deserved No.1 and shoulda been Top 20 here.

boo Into the Groove is the 80s to me, quintessential Madonna and quintessential 80s

sad to see it go at #21, very disappointed

I am surprised 1980 has 4 no1s left, good to see!

Who can’t love Frankie and Madonna!

Also 3 Pet Shop Boys in the top 20

Surprised that I didn't vote for 'Into The Groove', that must've been close.

'Relax' an iconic controversial chart topper! I actually forgot that I voted for that, my memory is a bit fuzzy with the single pointers as there was so many great songs to choose from, so I'm glad I did put it in my votes. Away from the eye-catching lyrics the production deserves just as much attention, very thrilling.

Getting into the top 20 by virtue of having one voter than “Into The Groove” here’s Bowie third offering in a chart topper and his top solo entry. Heralding the new romantic period it collects Doctor Blind’s 30 points.

And just like that Bowie leaves the rate with back to back tracks (with some help from Queen). Leonardo loves it so much they gave the track 30 points.

Under Pressure is a brilliant duet, and my favourite of those two Bowie tracks. Ashes to Ashes is still good though.
Not a fan of any of those two, I like a few Bowie songs but not his biggest fan, and same for Queen
