This is your Captain speaking. First I'd like to welcome everyone on Bøtanikkä Airways Flight 001. On behalf of the crew I ask that you please direct your attention directly to the magazines in front of you as we review the contents and you'll find there all the information you need to know about this flight and Semi Final 1.

VOTING RULES

🛫 You must only vote and stay in the semi final which you have been seat assigned into unless you are Bøtanikkä, who must vote in both semi-finals as a auto-qualifier.

🛫 Votes should be submitted in the Eurovision Song Contest voting system (12 points, 10 points, 8 points and all they way down to 1 point should be awarded).

🛫 All votes must be sent by PM to your flight Captain (Addy!) and no one else.

🛫 The deadline for submitting your votes is the length of the flight we'll be together, and that is Monday 22 November 2021 at 23:59 BST. Votes after we land may be accepted at the discretion of the Captain, however, a 15% deduction and downgrade to final flight will be applied to any nation submitting their votes after the deadline.

🛫 Any nation which fails to submit their votes will have a 33% deduction applied to their semi final points and most likely lose a seat in final flight.

🛫 The highest scoring 20 nations from each semi final will advance to the final flight.

In the same semi as the people who have sent my artist before :cheer: :lol: don't often do recycles but I really fell in love with this song.

(a quick heads up to Dan making the Spotify playlist for this semi - the Eastovka song on Spotify is titled 'SEIRO -CIRCUIT-', which seems to just be an error, there is an alternate version of the song which was retitled as 'Seiro ~MAZE~' so Spotify seems to have somehow titled it as halfway between those two titles but it is the original version that Cow Cow sent :magic:)

About time Charlie gets sent! ^_^

FARC :D Quite near the top of a list of songs I never expected to see in BJSC but am very happy someone did send it. Nice to see Explosions In The Sky here too.

Think there are only 3 songs I have already heard in this semi as well, so not too many that I'm already familiar with in general this month.

 

I did come quite close to sending a Chef 187 song when I was given the task of finding a Zambian entry for Worldvision, cannot say I expected to ever see him pop up in a contest after that! :lol: Also hoping that we have a good Mosquetania entry this time as I had 'Andvekur' by BYRTA as a potential entry years ago, although Pavel ended up sending it before I got a chance to (costing me a top 10 :'()

 

I haven't heard the song but I am already weeping at not being in the same semi as Pagasa based purely on the description of the band in question. (I hope our increase in foreign aid expenditure to Pagasa has been sufficient for them to remember to vote on time this month )

I have heard of Papa Roach, HUGEL and Explosions in the Sky before but none of the other artist names.
