All versions are great but the Initial Talk remix of Real Groove is my ultimate. Dua’s vocals can clearly be heard compared to the Studio 2054 version and I love the 80s production and that stuttering “K-k-k-Kylie” in the intro.

Love Real Groove and I was watching some live Olympic athletics coverage and Miss a Thing was playing in the stadium.

The single that never was.

Another anniversary - 4 years of Disco

That chart battle will stay with me for life - fun week though

It was such a great week and also a great album to go with it, i have great memories too of that chart battle.

You say fun, I'm still mentally scarred from it

That week was a ride. Signed vinyl, cassette bundles, nip and tuck with Little Mix. 4 years already. Seems so fresh. Weird thinking back to the gap between CGYOOMH and SKOB being 4 years too. That felt far longer.

The BJ meltdowns will stay with me for life - and everytime one moved the other camp dropped a new bundle or format

It was intense at the time and definitely taken more seriously than it should have been by some fans on both sides, but I do look back on it fondly now. It made it all the more satisfying to see Kylie win the battle and do so with the highest weekly sales of the year (until AC/DC outdid it the following week). The stress paid off in the end!

I think it seemed overtly intense due to the fact we were in the midst of lockdown etc so more people had more time on their hands to be overly invested in the battle.

Looking back on it both camps considering the circumstances and lack of normal promo done brilliantly and pulled it out the bag with signed variants, product drops etc

Both campaigns were great but I hated seeing them pitted against each other as I like both but obviously I wanted kylie to win.

I really don't know where those 4 years went to. I feel like time has really raced by since 2020! Maybe a sign of getting older!

I enjoyed the Disco era a lot. I think Kylie/her team did a great job with it and its promotion, considering the limitations in place at the time. The music was uplifting and helpful to me

I totally agree, Disco was a good era, a top 40 single from the album would have been nice but that aside it was all such a great time considering the limitations.

Disco is a great era !!!

LOVE IT

I should probably go back and listen to DISCO again, it gets good reviews from fans, it kinda passed me by a bit, never really got into the singles.

Nothing though is going to excuse that dreadful album cover lol!

I like the album cover, it's neither her best or worst.

Disco works better listeining as a full album, celebrate you remains my fave song on it but doesn't fully fit with the album so I usually play it side by side with songs from light years as I think it fits better.

Such a great era and I probably enjoy it now more than when it was released - I think it’s one that’ll hold up as a ‘great’ in Kylie’s back catalogue.

I loved golden at the time but I def go back to disco far more often, disco has so many uplifting tracks that I really enjoy when working out or doing jobs around the house.
