Ah right I thought this was one of them don’t give me a gender things!

Is it a duo? I thought it was more like a collective thing, I'd have sworn there were at least 3 of them

They are certainly a duo: Young Adz and Dirtbike LB.

Lil Pino also appears in most of their videos and has a few features but he’s not an official member.

Spotify today:

1 Wham 511K

2 Mariah 482K

3 Brenda Lee 373K

with ACR applied:

1 Gayle 293+60K=353K

Adele 353K

3 Wham 255K

4 Elton&Ed 246K

5 Mariah 241K

6 DBlock Europe - Overseas 239K

7 Sam Fender 227K

8 Coming for you 212K

9 Flowers 210K

10 DBlock Europe & AJ Tracey 194K

last time I checked YT, Elton&Ed were dominating with huge numbers

now they're down to #5 with average figures and the #1 is surprisingly Gayle

out favourites DBlock Europe also have 2 songs in the top 12 on YT :/

The second version of abcdefu is on 60k, and combined Gayle is actually marginally ahead of Adele with the top non-Christmas song for the first time.
There are several other versions of 'abcdefu' on Spotify that have never made the top 200 (whereas 'Easy On Me' still has only the one version) so it's possible she has really been ahead of Adele combined for a little while.
Easy On Me will be off to ACR after this week. I guess they could ask for it to be re-set in New Year week if they thought it might return to #1, but Gayle will probably be ahead across all platforms by that point anyway.

I doubt the OCC would approve a request like that and to be honest, I don’t think Adele and her label care that much at this point. The video for the second single is done so no doubt they will be plugging that in the new year rather than EOM.

Happy to see Wham are comfortably ahead of Mariah this year and we are seeing bigger boosts for Chris Rhea/Shakin Stevens. Shows listening habits are changing with what songs are most prominent each season, so they aren’t in the same order chart wise each year.

Wouldn't "Easy On Me" get reset the week after Christmas anyway due to how the streaming market changes dramatically after Xmas with most non-Christmas songs gaining a lot whilst the market itself shrinks?

That's not how it works in the post-Christmas week as of this past year. They pause automatic resets and allow the label to nominate a small number of songs for a manual reset - seemingly songs that haven't yet peaked or could still get a new peak (for example, Dua's Levitating, James Arthur's Train Wreck and The Kid LAROI'S SO DONE were three examples last year - Levitating matched its peak, Train Wreck got one place lower, and SO DONE reached the top 40 for the first time). I don't believe the OCC would allow a former #1 or a song that's well past its peak to get a reset when there's nothing more to be achieved there.

^ No the rules have changed so there are no automatic resets in the couple of weeks after Christmas, and I believe each record company can select a limited number of tracks that they want to continue to promote to be re-set.
