That's not how it works in the post-Christmas week as of this past year. They pause automatic resets and allow the label to nominate a small number of songs for a manual reset - seemingly songs that haven't yet peaked or could still get a new peak (for example, Dua's Levitating, James Arthur's Train Wreck and The Kid LAROI'S SO DONE were three examples last year - Levitating matched its peak, Train Wreck got one place lower, and SO DONE reached the top 40 for the first time). I don't believe the OCC would allow a former #1 or a song that's well past its peak to get a reset when there's nothing more to be achieved there.

Adele could break the record for longest #1 by a British female artist though. So part of me hopes her label manages to get a reset. It'll likely only get 1 more week at #1 max given how big Gayle's song is becoming - I fully expect "abcdefu" to do massive numbers on spotify post-Christmas (750k+ with all versions combined).

I have to agree. The mix on her vocals just sounds off. I can understand the estate’s objections to the project after listening to that. Dread to think what the rest will sound like.

 

For what it is worth The Weeknd does sound good on the track, just not enough to save it.

Highest its been during the weekdays. Almost a new peak on Apple Music too. Hopefully it'll keep climbing on both throughout the weekend and get new peaks on both platforms on Sunday. It might not fall too hard after Sunday too with Christmas quickly approaching. Maybe it'll even go top 200 on spotify, although I'm not expecting that to happen.

Are we thinking a #40 or so spotify debut for Sausage Rolls For Everyone tomorrow?
I don't think the LadBaby song last year charted at all on Spotify. I guess Ed Sheeran's presence on this one might help it a bit but still wouldn't expect it to make a huge splash.
