Is that not a bit dramatic?

Very much so! And I tend to steer clear of drama, which is why I’m so peed off!

Of course he will.

I suspect every year there will be a new A-Lister jumping on the track to keep things 'fresh' while they continue to whore out the name of charity and poverty for social media likes and ways to get advertisement deals for the family. Sigh.

True Tories through and through!

Ed Sheeran will NOT let this one go. He will be on it every year now, free no.1!

Is that not a bit dramatic?

No more dramatic or disturbing than some of the other posts on this thread already. Calling someone a parasite is way overboard imo!

I just hope England win the World Cup so Three Lions can be the Xmas #1 next year!

I didn’t think of this but if we actually do somehow win I think that’s the only thing what would stop LadBaby if we release (although both would yet again be tragic #1s). The Christmas #1s of the 00s decade at least had some genuinely great tracks in there even X Factor in its day had some great winners singles as well.

I wonder if in the future there’ll be another Band Aid track what’ll try for the #1 although I think 2024 would be the anniversary and we usually get them every ten year is it?

I’m not convinced another Band Aid would sell in decent numbers after the relative poor performance of Band Aid 30 in 2014. Especially with streaming now a full force.

I didn’t enjoy the 2005-2009 period of Xmas no1s in the noughties!

Until something is there and waiting to challenge them seriously on the same sort of sales at Christmas.. I won't put it past them to continue for the foreseeable future unfortunately. I know people got tired of X Factor but when it comes to that or this, it's quite easy which one I'd opt for :kink: although I'd personally have neither of them.

I get that it's for a good cause etc etc but I do prefer if the music was good to back it up!

Lad baby probably will but singles chart is irrelevant to me now as I don’t follow it anymore!

LadBaby proves that there is still a big enough download market for charity singles to comfortably reach #1 on most weeks of the year. Band Aid 30 did 300k+ in their first week, too. None of the Band Aid follow-ups will sell anywhere near the original, but it's more about upholding the tradition than topping the first one.

As for will LadBaby try again next year? Only they know. But the X Factor had 4 Christmas #1 singles in a row before the RATM took them on, so I am hoping there will be a big campaign for something to beat them next year, whether they try it or not. Say what you like about X Factor winners, but at least all of them had some singing talent and wanted to be musicians.

I certainly hope not! England football team...you know what to do next year. Win us the World Cup and keep this off the top! I wouldn't mind 'Three Lions' as a Christmas #1 next year.

Oh and Ed Sheeran, stop. Perhaps we need a smear campaign against him? Anyone got dirt on him?

the next World Cup is gonna be in winter? thats weird

Ed Sheeran and LadBaby are as much a Venn diagram of Buzzjack hate as one could imagine without Drake also guesting... Imagine if you'd written one of best new Christmas songs in years, only to have it kept off Christmas #1 by God Gave Sausage Rolls To You or whatever might have been next in the series.

To answer the question, a 5th Christmas #1 is there for the taking if they want it next year, or indeed the year after, to send them into record breaking territory once again - it wouldn't need to be 5 in a row.

That’s what corruption produces!

I call it as I see it. Do you ever get tired of being offended on someone else’s behalf?

Ladbaby ft Lightning Seeds, Baddiel and Skinner - Three Sausage Rolls <- Xmas 2022 sorted :D it's probably been already recorded :D

because it's in Qatar and it would be too hot if they did it in Summer.

If he trys again next year I think there may be a social media campaign to prevent him getting the xmas no.1!
