So sad to hear about Meatloaf. I wonder how high his songs will go. I wouldn't be surprised if he manages to get some top 20 on Spotify tomorrow or even top 10 given how low streams currently are.

Totally shocked at Y&Y adding a 2nd disc of greatest hits to their album in order to get some fake album streams...

According to wiki, the Charlie Puth song is doing so well cos the song was teased several times on his TikTok account, causing the video to go viral on the platform, with many videos being made using the audio. Guess that's the way to go in 2022 to get some attention!

 

Background

In September 2021, Puth revealed "a single" would come out in 2022 by responding to a comment on Twitter.[6] "Light Switch" then was teased on TikTok that same month, showing him documenting the producing of the song. The video went viral on the platform, with a presave for the song was made available on September 18, 2021. Throughout the rest of 2021, Puth kept teasing the song in more various videos on TikTok.

I can't support charlie after seeing his interview about Selena and he was annoyed that he friendzoned her and not sleeping with him :selena:
Yeah Light Switch has been a huge thing on TikTok for months, it's had over half a million presaves too apparently so I'm glad it's translating into streaming success so far - I hope it's a huge hit as it's such a great song.
It would be great if Meat Loaf could get at least one song in the official Top 100 although I reckon that's a pretty tall order.

To be fair I just listened to Pump 101 and while the lyrics are awful, the production is interesting, old school hip hop sounding!

 

Also has another regional accent rapper in it - Birmingham accent it sounds like?
