The Cast of Encanto could remain at #1 for a second week with We Don't Talk About Bruno. There's new singles from Charlie Puth with Light Switch and Griff & Sigrid with Head on Fire, plus tracks from Lana Del Rey, Iann Dior, Gayle, Conan Gray and Holly Humberstone

Years & Years might grab a second #1 album with Night Call, with Yard Act's debut The Overload also a potential contender. There's also new albums from AURORA, Miles Kane, Young T & Bugsey, Ludovico Einaudi, The Sherlocks and Kiefer Sutherland. Expect a big re-entry for Meat Loaf's Bat Out of Hell following his unfortunate passing on Friday

Breakdown of the week

- Saturday: Some information may be posted on social media but it is likely to be missing most streaming data and is unrepresentative.

- Sunday: Official First Look Chart on Radio 1 from 6-7pm. Please do not post spoilers on the forum in advance as this ruins the countdown for any listeners.

- Monday: OCC Top 100 from 5:45pm

- Tuesday: Top 40 update as and when we receive them with requests, this is NOT 100% guaranteed however. The OCC may publish sales flashes of their own accord but likewise, this is not guaranteed. Twitter and social media is your friend for today. Please post any information you find with a source. Do not nag for updates, we will post a top 40 update if we receive one.

- Wednesday: Top 40 update from Music Week from 5:45, and potential top 5 sales but this is not guaranteed.

- Thursday: See Tuesday.

Other notes (please read)

- You may make requests Tuesday to Thursday but outside the top 40, specific positions will not be revealed (unless deemed necessary by a mod).

- Please do not demand a midweek update, one will be posted as and when we receive the information. Patience is a virtue.

- Sales information will be given out as deemed necessary by a moderator, please bear this in mind when making requests. Most requests for sales will be ignored. Any chart requests between No. 41 to 100 will not be answered after Monday's update.

- To keep everyone in the loop of all chart action, please refer to the iTunes and Spotify threads.

Could Meat Loaf go Top 40 with anything- singles or multiple albums? Know Bat out of Hell is Number 1 on Spotify today but also presume it will be on permanent ACR ?
Unless they fall off extremely hard after one day I think the top 3 Meat Loaf songs should be able to make the top 40 at least even with ACR. (They do have relatively strong digital sales at least for now as well which is of course not affected by ACR).
Think Meat Loaf could be a challenger for #1 album although it seems all his CDs and vinyl have sold out everywhere.
With Meatloaf in the albums it could depend on which album the tracks get counted towards, I was expecting his greatest hits album to benefit but the allocations always confuse me when songs are available on different albums.

If you stream a track from an album, it counts twice, towards the album but also toward the greatest hits

The 3 songs will be Bat out of hell, I'd do anything for you and then the 3rd one not so sure,

either Paradise or Two out of Three

Main issue with the album is that there is probably no stock available

Does not like no acr update this week next week 1st week songs go acr

That's right after next week's chart all the songs that got reset will probably go back to ACR unless the act of going to SCR managed to boost their streams over the past two weeks or this week coming....

Easy on Me will almost definitely be on ACR, Sam Fender will probably avoid it, Overpass Graffiti is likely to go back to ACR.

It'll be this week that the reset songs fall back to ACR (unless they had an increase in one of the last 3 weeks).
It'll be this week that the reset songs fall back to ACR (unless they had an increase in one of the last 3 weeks).

No It's next week. They reset on the 7th January chart. That means the 1st week of decline would be the 14th January (compared to the 7th), the second week of decline is the 21st (ie this week's chart compared to the 14th January)) so the 3rd week of decline is next weeks chart (compared to this weeks chart). Therefore ACR will kick in on the chart after that.

If a song is declining in streams the week it gets a manual reset that still counts as its first week of decline. (I'm not sure how many of the songs in January that got reset that was true for but if any of them have declined in each of the last 3 weeks they will be going to ACR this week).

'Close To Me' by Ellie Goulding is an example of this - it got a manual reset towards the end of its run despite it continuing to decline in streams. It only spent 3 weeks back on SCR (its run ended 57-25-27-27-77-x) because its reset week counted as its first decline.

(edit: actually just remembered we did get an ACR status update from the week of the resets and, looking back, none of them did actually decline that week - so yes it will be the following week at the earliest for all of them in this particular case, my bad! But what I said above still applies in general)

Really intrigued to see the albums midweeks. Meatloaf could be big, no idea how much years and years could sell, and I think The Sherlocks could also be in with a shout of no1 or at least top5, as they have a lot of support.

Meat Loaf albums, both CD's and LP's, are sold out now everywhere so that will affect his position surely. No.1 on Amazon with other versions lower down but depends how many they had in stock already to ship this week. Ebay has plenty but they won't count.

Does Amazon Marketplace count towards the chart as there are a few knocking about on there?

Except that the market bounced back quite a bit the week after the resets so some songs will have been on zero weeks of decline until at least last week.

I can’t be sure but based on sales I suspect the following is the current position:

Easy on me DCL2

Overpass graffiti DCL1

Seventeen going under DCL0
