I'm inclined to agree, but to be fair this person does have form for regularly describing something as the worst thing "ever" so I would suggest not taking them too seriously with their melodramatic hyperbolisation.

I dont remember Westlife doing duet after duet with one the most famous acts during that time and/or pushing for ‘signed’ copies during the week to make sure they get the no1. Also i dont remember westlife getting a no1 and the next week covering the same song with the x factor winner to get 2 no1s with one stone.

Tbf you do have a point with that last one. Ed Sheeran convincing LadBaby to do a sausage roll cover of his new Christmas song knowing he would essentially get a two for the price of one on the #1 slot seems more desperate than any of Westlife's tactics.

Great to see AURORA at #8 (would have been #3 without Meat Loaf), her last album only got to #32!

I hope she can hang on to Top 10 and doesn't miss out due to the Meat Loaf situation. I haven't listened to her new album yet but she's a definite talent!

Yard Act are announcing signing shows/ticket bundles left, right & centre! Really hoping there isn’t much of a gap between them and Y&Y.
It could be a close fought battle for the album number 1 this week as i cant see their any major sales difference when/if we see the sales later.

Lack of physical stock could let Meat down though.

She should do a cover of Duran Duran's Ordinary World, that would be iconic! Probably wouldn't be better than the other AURORA's great version though!

Genuinely never even heard of Yard Act

Post punk band who were on the BBC’s Sound of 2022 list, this is their debut album.

Were they in the Top 5 at all in the BBC's Sound of 2022?

Its more 'post post punk' now as post punk was in the late 70s, early 80s!

Lmao I genuinely used to think that was by the same Aurora when I first came across it, it doesn't help that the OCC's chart history still has them mashed together. Makes it look like Norweigan Aurora has been having hits since the age of 4.

They’ve dropped the price of the Y&Y New Years Edition to £7.99 on iTunes. I wouldn’t be surprised if they drop it on Amazon too.

Was the late 70s not just ‘punk’ as that’s when it originated/became big?
