aww, everything was going fairly well, strong semi considered, and then we had to lose FljΓ³tavΓk and Utopia just before things were over, those are big losses.

Β

Thrilled to qualify though, thanks for seeing me through, guys. :D Thanks for hosting Jafet, has been a wonderful read through.

Ughhhh

Β

But oh f***, how did I qualify?!

Glad Pavita didn't kick himself out by voting late!

So I’m somewhere in the bottom half. Okay nice to know x’)

I don't know where you finished, was just saying I'm glad you qualified despite the deduction x

Very happy to have qualified! :D

Β

I never had time to listen to the other playlist for SF2 so looking forward to hearing the other songs before the final.

Lol I knew those stats were speaking to me

Β

I thought you one was definitely about me! Turns out you were the only other country in the semis to get all your songs through πŸ˜…

Ahh, fudge. NocheLuna messaged me informing me that there was a mistake with their votes as they did not actually give their 12 points to POPhub & 10 points to Pagasa (but instead 1 point and 2 points respectively). I took a look at it and seems I accidentally put their votes in the wrong order (so their 12 pointer became a 1-pointer, their 10-pointer became a 2-pointer, etc).

Β

I was devastated when I realised this, but THANKFULLY this does not change the qualifiers and they indeed stay the same. However, this change in points does mean the non-qualifiers end up in a little different order.

Β

FljΓ³tavΓk & Utopia stay 21st & 22nd

Dobago is now 23rd (instead of 25th)

POPhub is now 24th (instead of 23rd)

Pukarnia is now 25th (instead of 26th)

Pagasa is now 26th (instead of 24th)

and Taahino & Flynnonda stay 27th & 28th.

Β

I'm so sorry for this mistake, but so relieved that the finalists didn't change.

do we have an update for who has that β€œmost wooden spoons in the semi” record? Pretty sure Niceland have taken that by now
FLABBERGASTED that I got as many as 45 points from a nice variety of nations of which some rarely vote for me, that is one of my happiest DNQs.

Β

surely that's Singerpurear (though to be fair I dont recall us coming last many times) I think we hold the Most Percentage of DNQ's for any nation that's been in BJSC for years, the most consecutive DNQ's, and possibly the most DNQ's in total regardless of percentages. Just a guess that last one though :D

Β

Plus side, we prob have the most varied set of entries in terms of genres and age. That may have something to do with the above.... :heehee:

Β

[/late] but indeed Niceland have now taken that record with this being their 9th (they were previously tied with East Rukahavian and Tartford on 8 each). On impressive form with this being their 2nd semi-final wooden spoon in a row and 3rd in the last 4 contests :kink:

Β

Singerpurear have also just recently taken the record for the country with the most total DNQs (this month being their 56th, the previous record holder was Tinnmark with 54).

Extending national records: Cumulonimbia, Kathaldazia, Pestolia

Exceeding national records matched in previous contest: Sovarasma, Summericia, Wholune

Qualifying for the first time: Eastovka (after 3 previous DNQs), Freedonia (with their debut entry)

Matching previous national records: Quintessa (previously achieved in BJSCs 108-116)

Β

Kathaldazia's current streak in consecutive contests now matches their previous longest streak in non-consecutive contests.
