May 4, 20232 yr Watch this quickly become a buzz single with a more uptempo dance banger rush released as the main single to try and get the era back on track.
May 6, 20232 yr I heard this and found it so forgettable I thought it was a buzz (killer?) track. And I’ve always liked Jess’s music, and especially enjoyed her debut album. I expected her to ease herself back in with a dance feature and build from there.
May 6, 20232 yr #62 in sales :o Is this the biggest comeback flop like...ever? Wow... Fully expected this to miss the Official Charts as I assumed streaming wouldn't be kind to her... but a week Top 40 on Sales should have been possible. Amazed that R1 have play-listed it.
May 28, 20232 yr I don’t think I’ve seen such an epic flop - I’m not even talking about the (lack of) single success, it just literally feels like nobody is talking about her or cares in the slightest that she is back? Even though she was never a BJ fave she had so many hits and decent album sales but it seems like she’s retained exactly zero of her fanbase?
May 28, 20232 yr 2dh3kD-EyTU 3 minutes in and she tries to get the crowd involved and singing and they couldn't have cared less. I can't deal with the awkwardness
May 28, 20232 yr she's literally gonna bin herself You camled it tbh!! I didn't even know she had released anythinf  Bet it's radio pop
May 28, 20232 yr What a awkward live performance  I’m a bit surprised at just how badly this has done. I mean I wasn’t expecting it to be a #1 but I did think it might’ve spent sometime in the lower top 40 region. The next track she chooses to release will be the real make or break one for her maybe she might need to rely on features for hits but it feels like support / interest has just completely dropped. I suspect the album release might be quite a while off yet whilst they try and get some sort of successful single or two to launch the album off I’d be surprised if the album drops in 2023 though. May 28, 20232 yr I am genuinely confused as to how this didn’t even chart. I know there is a known thing about female singers being deserted but surely someone with this many number one singles could at least go top 40 on return?!
May 28, 20232 yr She needed a stronger release to do that I think. This just sounds like some album leftover of hers.
May 29, 20232 yr Nice remix! :music: hMoBi6HWA2c That they gave a remix a "visualiser" shows me that they know how limp the original is.
May 29, 20232 yr I don't think she has ever had a proper fanbase sadly. I would assume Becky Hill and Ella Henderson would be in danger of something similar if they decided to have a 3-year break and tried to return with a mediocre SOLO single. Edited May 29, 20232 yr by Sour Candy
May 29, 20232 yr It seems that Jess left it way too long to return. Bearing in mind that her last huge hit single went to #3 in November 2018 (that was 'Thursday', the third single from her second album). She did have a #3 in December 2020 with 'This Christmas', but we know that was thanks to Alexa scammery and not a specific interest in Jess Glynne... :kink: Still, the decay in chart success is pretty extraordinary to see. Having #1s and Top 10s from her first and second albums, while her (possible) third album era begins with a single that isn't coming close to bothering the Top 100. 'Silly Me' only reached #56 in the download chart and #62 in the sales chart (on 5th May), and it hasn't been Top 100 in those charts since then. No sign of it in the iTunes Top 200 since Radio 1's Big Weekend.
