Posted February 7, 20223 yr Tomorrow's challenge is a Ball in honour of the show's very own RuPaul, including a design element. Janey, Pangina, Blu, Mo and Jimbo could all easily eat this up so it should be a tough competition this week!

February 8, 20223 yr i’m sorry but did jujubee even pack any outfits for this season? she obviously didn’t want to be cast lol, and to see cheryl go home over her is sad. also not at all sure how janey pulled off a top 2 placing over mo and pangina. however all is fine as queen jimbo reigned again :wub:

February 8, 20223 yr Author Honestly it should have been a Pangina/Jimbo top 2 again! Jimbo is the only one who absolutely nailed all three looks, each one was very Jimbo but different too. Janey's designed look I thought the best behind Jimbo's and it was definitely very Ru, but her first was kinda hideous, it gave me knock-off costume shop vibes. Pangina's designed look let her down a bit, I didn't get Ru from it and I did agree that the bottom half didn't quite work, but she had such unique ideas for her other two looks that really stood out and were absolute serves, and her third wasn't terrible like Janey's cat look. Janey did absolutely SERVE that lipsync though, as much as you can with a song like that, like she was on every beat. I look at all the looks and weigh them equally tbh and I would have gone: WIN Jimbo, Pangina (obv Pangina would win again) High Mo, Janey Low: Baga Bottom 3: Cheryl, Jujubee (Juju eliminated) I can feasibly see that her cat look may have saved her from the bottom, Baga should have been down there in the bottom moreso to be called out on her attitude towards the challenge as well as her hideous last two looks. If anyone else had that attitude,Ru would have gone OFF?! I have absolutely no patience with queens who come on the show knowing that they will have to sew every season, and don't learn. First time around, ok cool that's fine, but you are on All Stars... At least Cheryl just got on with it and gave it a go, I think it's disgusting to just lie back and act like the challenges don't matter because it's not your bag, it's full of contempt for the competition, Ru crucified Pearl for so much less! I agree about Jujubee too, it's kind of embarrassing for someone of her level, she is an absolute sweetheart and a great queen but it feels like they just called her a couple of days prior to filming and forced her at gunpoint to film, she has absolutely no energy in the challenges and seems to not be invested at all. To me, it's just a waste of a slot that could go to someone who hasn't had another chance yet! I also feel really bad for Cheryl, she just got on with it, gave it a go, and Baga gets a pass for someone else making her outfit after she had a strop plus honestly Mo put more effort into her workroom look than Juju did into all three runway looks this week, and Juju is on her fourth chance.

Basically this, I'm absolutely gutted to have lost Cheryl so soon, especially after losing Lemon week one too. The judging on this season has been absolutely shocking, Baga or JuJu should have gone. I hate the fact that they're excusing Jujus minimal effort by saying they're waiting for the real her to arrive like what?! We've seen so much of her already on other seasons, she knows where the bar is set and if she knows she can do better why isn't she? It's why it leaves a particularly bad taste with Cheryl being eliminated instead because she on the other hand had so much more to give, we've not seen enough of her at all and you can see how much she wants to do well, she's putting in the effort that jujubee is lacking. Also Baga literally sleeping on the couch? Getting Pangina to help her? It's as if she knows she's got a free pass to the final so doesn't need to work for it, you'd think Ru would have at least said something to her in the work room??? This probably wouldn't be the case if it wasn't on the BBC
February 9, 20223 yr Yeah, Juju was rock bottom for me - I did think Cheryl was worse than Baga though this time, although it was a close thing. Baga will do better in acting and improv challenges coming than Cheryl though. Having said that, I think it's a bit shitty of Janey to save Juju who doesn't need the exposure, given that she herself was just saved for that reason. I do think Monique might be playing a character this season! I'm not 100% sure but she seemed to be more leaning into it this ep than just being a dick. Finally, loved Blu's gender chat. Very much resonated with my own experience to an extent. Blu for top 4 pls. Also I thought her constructed look was easily top 3.
February 9, 20223 yr I don't think baga will be any better when it comes to acting etc, I'm finding her extremely one note this season and she's still reliant on jokes that should have been laid to rest after season one (if I hear one more much betta I stg x) I think Cheryl is extremely overlooked and is the very definition of an underdog, she had a lot more to give and it's really sad that she's not been given that chance
February 9, 20223 yr Author Tbf to Juju, at least she has been rightfully singled out and warned about bringing it. The funniest thing though is she comes across as this cat lady yet there wasn't even an iota of cat in her runway for Kitty Girl :lol: Also Baga wasn't even THAT great at the comedy challenges on her season, I mean yeah she deserved the acting win but her Snatch Game shared win was a stretch and I will die on that hill, it feels like this season anyway she feels she is so "famous" she can just be herself and that one note personality and win, which is sadly probably true. I think this series was probably too hasty, if they really wanted to push UK girls. I don't think any queen on UK1 bar MAYBE Divina would stand up to the likes of Jimbo, Pangina and Mo, Blu is doing solidly but definitely doesn't have that big star/winner energy.

February 10, 20223 yr Mostly agreed on the Juju comments here... I love her to pieces, but when she walks out in that (supposedly cat) dress, I said "no Juju, that's not enough...". I think they've kept her in to keep US fans interested, not really understanding that she would be the draw to the series, and people would carry on watching and be GRATEFUL someone doing a half-arsed job has (correctly) been eliminated. There's no reason why any of these queens wouldn't appeal to US viewers (particularly the very specific demographic that Drag Race caters to [i'd be surprised if most US subscribers to WOW for Drag Race hadn't bothered with all the English speaking versions, at least]). THAT Said... Simply 'not bringing it' wasn't enough for bottom two, for me, this week... That should be reserved for Baga (especially) and Cheryl's hideous looks. 😂 I was convinced on a Blu/Monique top two until the last look. I think tops were just about right... Jimbo clearly won. Monique/Blu/Pangina/Janey all were solid with notable highs and drawbacks! Blu's doing a solid job so far, and I don't think she's gonna do a bad look, so if she falters it'll be purely challenge based.
February 10, 20223 yr Absolutely living for Jujubee and Jimbo’s interactions with Rupaul. They seem so in the zone and are just absolutely killing it. That back and forth laughter was one of the most iconic moments so far. Jimbo really wants it and it definitely shows this time.
