Taylor is now credited on the OOC website for The Joker & The Queen

Oh good. I was just reading through the posts and was regretting my 30+ a day play count.

You do know that only 10 streams a day count right?

^10 per day per platform

wow Taylor is not only credited now but the credit is now Ed Sheeran & Taylor Swift as opposed to "featuring"

And of course you could give 10 to both versions.

You do know I was actually joking - tongue in cheek - because I’m not an idiot?

Ed’s not taking sole responsibility for it tanking

Thats the good things having CD singles scheduled, labels can play around with the release date

and also labels know how many they got on pre-order

so if the Joker single is 10K behind, sure they can send those CD singles midweek instead of next Friday nd get those sales in for this week

all depends how far behind The Joker is...

I wonder if James Morrison has a shot at #1 with his Greatest Hits? *.*

The iTunes version has been reduced to £3.99 and gone to #1 on there as a result so guessing it’s a reaction to sales being close at the top?

Taylor having the OCC wrapped around her finger etc. xx

That is surprising that the CDs for TJATQ are not due to ship until next week, but then again that happened with 'Merry Christmas' too and they ended up being released a few days early anyway so that might well happen again. Not sure I can see this going to #1 either way though, much like 'Overpass Graffiti' it's surely gonna be a bit too far behind on streaming for CDs to bridge the gap.

Frank turner more double sales at number 1 on album chart

Edited by Dj Cheeky Magpie

FTHC could become Frank Turner’s first ever UK Number 1 album this week, as it leads a barrage of new entries in the midweek Top 10.

Currently leading with more than double the weekend sales of its closest competition, Frank’s ninth studio album FTHC – an initialism for Frank Turner Hardcore – is shooting ahead on physical sales. If it holds on it will best Frank’s highest-charting albums to date, Tape Deck Heart (2013), and Positive Songs For Negative People (2015) which both reached Number 2. See Frank Turner’s full Official Charts history here.

Sitting at Number 2 in the latest update, alt-J’s fourth studio album The Dream looks set to land the group their third Top 5 on the Official Albums Chart following 2014’s This Is All Yours (1) and 2017’s Relaxer (6).

Slash and Myles Kennedy are also looking to claim their highest UK Albums Chart peak to date with their fourth collaborative album 4, which is on course to debut at Number 3. The album is on track to out-peak their 2018 release Living The Dream (4) and become Slash’s highest-charting UK album to date outside of his Guns N’ Roses success. See Slash’s full Official Charts history.

James Morrison rounds off this week’s Top 5 with his Greatest Hits (5), potentially James’s fourth Top 5 album and sixth Top 40.

Elsewhere in the Top 10, Viola Beach’s self-titled album is set to re-enter the chart at Number 7, following a special vinyl release. The posthumously-released album debuted at Number 1 in August 2016, after the group suffered a fatal incident alongside their manager in February of that year.

Brooklyn-born rockers Big Thief look set to bag their first Top 10 album with fourth studio album Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You at Number 8, and Pearl Jam guitarist Eddie Vedder could see his third solo studio album Earthling enter at 9.

Outside the Top 10, Joy Division’s 1981 compilation Still could land at Number 12 following a special 40th anniversary vinyl reissue; the collection originally peaked at Number 5 on its release.

Further new entries could come from US rock band Spoon’s Lucifer On The Sofa (26) and Oregon retro country band The Delines’ third studio album The Sea Drift (29). Finally, Roger Taylor’s sixth solo album Outsider (32) could re-enter the chart thanks to a limited edition picture disc.

Wow wasnt expecting Frank Turner at @1

Alt J must be really underperforming if theyre not even on 1/2 of Frank Turner

Great to see Big Thief top 10 <3

No mention of Foxes? Surely she's not outside the top 40 at this stage :o

Quite likely since it's only out on streaming/download at the moment, the CDs are released on the 25th apparently

-x-

Frank finally coming for a #1 album! nice to see Big Thief and Spoon doing quite well so far

Frank also signing personalised vinyl and CDs tomorrow so that will give FTHC an extra boost

Frank Turner has been quite unlucky to not get a #1 album before now (his last 4 albums have all charted at either #2 or #3) - assuming he's probably safe to hang on, 2022 is really proving to be a fruitful year so far for long running indie/rock acts finally getting their first #1 album, following The Wombats and Don Broco.

Mildly disappointing but not surprising for alt-J, guessing their sales are definitely set for another big-ish dip from the last era unless Frank Turner is just really overperforming, hopefully they should at least be safe to stay in the top 5 this time anyway.

Frank's also got a song in the top 100! I presume there's been a physical release for it?

New ones in the top 100:

4. Ed Sheeran - The Joker and the Queen (Taylor doesn't seem to be credited on the OCC chart yet)

15. Dove Cameron - Boyfriend

22. Central Cee - Khabib

37. M Huncho (feat. Headie One) - Warzone

60. Fivo Foreign, Kanye West & Alicia Keys (the OCC have Kanye credited as 'Ye' lol)

64. Wilkinson & Becky Hill - Here For You

94. Frank Turner - A Wave Across A Bay

95. Foals - 2am
