This week is an acting challenge, inspired by soap operas, with guest judge TS Maddison. Again, for an acting challenge it sounds like a great concept rather than a hammy parody written terribly so I'm excited!

 

First look is out:

 

Daya kinda spilled yet again but she is so annoying lmao her attitude is so off-putting even though she's right, but I can't really blame her as I know it must be super frustrating. Not Jorgeous trying to read someone else's outfit tho :rofl:

This episode was amazing! Angeria in the workroom learning about Folsom had me SCREAMING, this cast is just so great as a whole, all of their personalities and the way they interact, the friendships they all have, I think everyone brings something and at this point, and it feels like any elimination will leave a hole. Maybe this is premature but I might say that this is the best regular season since... Season 6?

 

I do think the judging was a little off though, Daya in no way deserved top 2 there, she was great but a lot of them were! I think I'd rather they carried on her Jan safe-rage storyline lmao. Jasmine was f***ing HYSTERICAL, she definitely should have been in the top 2!! Jorgeous being in the top and not even wearing chaps on the runway was... something.

 

This was definitely Lady Camden's episode, she ATE that lipsync and had me genuinely gagged at her runway reveal, absolutely brilliant week for her yet again. I MEAN A f***ING MOUSTACHE REVEAL IN THE LIPSYNC!!! I don't think I've been that gagged by a runway reveal since Brooke in Season 11's Snatch Game?! Honestly it's a lipsync for the crown as usual... we might be looking at a British winner :o

 

It is odd though they hinged this whole thing on fart jokes when Rock M Sakura got dragged for that just a couple of years back!

Oh also make sure you watch Untucked guys :cry: This whole package might be one of my favourite episodes of Drag Race ever, crying my eyes out in the best way.

absolutely one of the best drag race episodes in YEARS! lady camden had it from minute one and willow, jasmine and daya were all amazing (daya's look i was obsessed).

weird to think that angeria would prob have been bottom 2! jorgeous had yet again no business being in the top but i'm kinda loving that it's completely out of her control and is now now her whole identity.

 

I feel so... weird about this episode.

 

Why was there no elimination? Because Angeria and Kerri would've been bottom 2? The fart joke didn't seem quite as funny as they hoped it would... especially after 40th time. Why is Daya in the top instead of Jasmine? Why is Jorgeous high? She didn't do anything special at all and wore the same f***ing thing she wears every time.

 

It feels like they wanted to have this episode to give an illusion there are other queens other than Willow and Angeria competing here.

The f***ing moustache reveal though, I cannot stop thinking about it.

I love how you can tell that some celebrity guests that visit the werk room come across as more... personable when they sit WITH the queens, not on a high stool in front. On record, that was some shade towards TS Madison and Taraji. Especially TS Madison who went all 'are you done talking' at the end there. Oooh girl, she was feeling her judge oats quite a bit in there, calm down you aren't Beyonce just yet :')

i agree with daya over jasmine in top 2 honestly, jasmine's look was a choice and did not fit her v well. though i would have put willow in there instead

I continue to really like Jasmine. Watch when next season a queen like her who otherwise isn't very good is given loads of props and praise, just like Jorgeous is this season as budget Denali.

 

I really enjoyed this one in general, but am still kinda torn about the farting thing. Some funny moments but it was also a bit much! It's not like the scenes weren't funny anyway :lol:

 

My tops would have been Camden and Bosco, or even Bosco and Jasmine.

Kerri Colby had better start doing well soon if she wants to make it to that top 4!

I think the farts were to save Angeria from the bottom honestly, because in that edit it made it so nobody stood out as being bad, although neither of them did badly I did think DeJa and Angeria were still clearly the bottom 2 I thought and Jorgeous had more business being in the bottom than Kerri who I thought did well. DeJa and Angeria are both great lipsyncers so they feasibly could have had a double shantay between them if they really wanted that, but I suppose for once it's nice that Ru was actually complimentary and lifted the queens up rather than doing some shit like no challenge winner or everyone in the bottom just to tear them down :lol:

 

Jasmine and Kerri are both such huge surprises to me, I thought Jasmine would be a villain and Kerri would be boring af but Jasmine is great TV (and not just in a reality TV villain way, she's a complex interesting character) and Kerri is giving me Miss Congenality, she's not been that good at... any of the challenges (bar the talent show and arguably this week) lmao but she's such an important presence on this season. Like I said, this is just such a great cast where at this point everyone brings something. Even Jorgeous, while I think she is being favoured heavily, I can't help but find her sweet in her own way.

This episode has 9.6 on iMDB - the best rating for a US epiode!! *.*

I have to admit I’ve done a full 180 on Jasmine. She’s went from one of my least favs to me being obsessed in two weeks. Her fight last week was iconic, she made me howl in the acting challenge and was lovely to see her so vulnerable in Untucked. She really has started to give us so many moments to remember.

 

I’m still team Camden and Angie all the way though overall.

I'm waiting for Jorgeous to either 1) change or 2) show depth and be more likeable. Literally all I am getting right now is "I'm pretty and stupid" and not in an endearing Joslyn Fox kind of way.

 

I do think Angeria will lipsync at some point!

The frustrating thing is, I can't see how Jorgeous will change or get any better when the judges laud nearly everything she does no matter what.

Untucked! Did I have a tear in my eye? Maybe.

 

It's easy to complain about the franchise (I do, a lot) but then moments like that remind me why the show has been — and continues to be — so important.

I love complaining about it as part of enjoying it tbh! I do that with everything I like. Even my friends & family we get on by dragging each other as part & parcel :D

 

I've never watched a full episode of Untucked, but I saw the clip of Jasmine and I agree - I'm sure any of us who are LGBTQ might have been brought back to our moment of 'coming out' through watching that. Jasmine definitely had a difficult decision to take re hormones as well. They can definitely throw you off in unexpected ways or cause you to be off balance, even positively.

Such a great episode! The twist with the farts edited in at the end :lol: Lady Camden and Daya were my top 2, so happy they lip synced! I really enjoyed their lip sync too. Lady Camden rightfully won. :wub: So happy to see her finally get her first win!

 

The untucked this episode was so emotional too. :snif: Jasmine has had such a great story arc so far in the competition. I didn't really like her much at first, but have warmed to her quite a bit the last couple of episodes.
