From 1986, this was Bon Jovi's first top 10 single. They had to wait another six years for their second one but ended up with a total of 18 top 10 hits.

Fast Car is a lesson in storytelling and songwriting, happy it's finished in the top 10

Bon Jovi is a classic but wouldn't have it so high

the Rihanna song is definitely too high

I think there have been several songs recently that I wouldn’t class as all time classics but are absolute feel good bops that I love listening to - Hot N Cold, All Good Things and Don’t Stop the Music are all in that category.

Fast Car and Living On A Prayer, on the other hand, are in the all time classic category. Great to see them in the Top 10, even if the latter has lost its shine for me somewhat thanks to overplay.

'Livin' On A Prayer' is an undeniable classic but I agree it's vastly overplayed at this point. 'You Give Love A Bad Name' is equally as good, it's a shame that doesn't get played quite as much (actually I could say that about at least ten other Bon Jovi songs!)

The entire top 9 having male vocals is rather unusual for a BuzzJack ranking! 'Fast Car' is a decent enough song but never been a massive favourite for me, am surprised to see myself show up among its lowest pointers though! 'Don't Stop The Music', 'Hot N Cold' or 'All Good Things (Come To An End)' would all have been better shouts for the highest placed female song imo, all among the best songs by their respective artists.

Happy to see Bon Jovi in the top 10 (not a massive fan of them in general but 'Livin' On A Payer' is a classic) and '(I Just) Died In Your Arms' being as high as the top 15 is quite a pleasant shock! Decent enough results for 'Yellow' and 'One Day Like This' too.

Fast Car is sublime

I have always found LOAP annoying and the same with the Rihanna track!

Totally agree with Vibe's comments; Fast Car is beyond beautiful - and well deserving of a top 10 place on this list.... LOAP is meh for me, I don't like the genre, but I respect it's longevity.
After a pretty dubious 11-15 section imo, I can't argue with the first two songs in the Top 10. Neither are big personal faves but both are clearly classics

8. Robbie Williams - Angels 1350pts

Writers - Robbie Williams, Guy Chambers

Top scores - JulianT 49, Mark223 49, AaronTM 48, Mack 48

Low scores - AH Gold 2, brokenrecords 3, Shoat 5

Angels was Robbie Williams' fifth solo top 40 single. It was based on an incomplete song written by the Irish singer-songwriter Ray Heffernan who was paid £7500 for the rights to the song. It's Robbie's best selling single with 1.8 million copies sold in the UK and was voted as the best song of the past 25 years at the 2005 Brit awards.

Seeing some potential winners dropping out now. Last year I ran a Family Fortunes quiz with one of the questions to name a #4 song, and Angels was one of the joint top answers, while none of the seven songs left featured in anyone's answers.

Prince had charted in the UK as early as 1980 but this was his first top 20 single. In the US, it was the best selling single of 1984. Prince played all the instruments on the record.

Two great ballads both classics

Really thought Angels could win this, surprised it's out so soon relatively speaking

Happy to see Prince finishing so high  sublime song and I'm a huge fan of the 'Purple Rain' album in general.

'Angels' and 'Fast Car' are also great from the past couple of days!

Both Robbie songs in this final are utterly sublime. I also have a soft spot because they suit me well for Karaoke. B-) Surprised at which one is higher but pleased for Feel. That’s my highest scorer left now (44).

I’ve struggled to get into Prince generally but When Doves Cry is great of course.

Didn't realise both Robbie songs were still to come but I love both of them so happy to see it (and 'Feel' unexpectedly being the higher of the two)!
Happy to see 'I Just Died In Your Arms' that high. A classic 80's track there. Love the Katy, GaGa, Rihanna (first proper song of hers I liked after being quite the critic up to that point :kink: ) and Nelly tracks too. Agree with Chez on it being one of her best. 'Angels' whilst technically a classic suffered from overplay but I definitely always preferred 'Feel' out of the two so pleased that's his highest of the two. 'When Doves Cry' is one of Prince's best too so very deserved position for that. 'Fast Car' I have days I like it and other days I'm a bit tired of it lol.

Another vote for Feel > Angels, although both tracks totally deserve to be in the top ten.
