So what do people predict he will open with next week? I suspect he will shoot to #1 on itunes and will likely top the sales chart next week. Should we be expecting a big opening day on Spotify? He will definitely get support from the start but its really hard to judge how he will do. He could easily do 500/600,000 streams on Spotify but could do alot less. I guess even if he doesn't reach the #1 spot to begin with then the CD single could propel him there (like Before You Go). If he debuts 600,000+ he could be #1 for weeks.

I think it’s likely to have a shot at a #1 debut as sales and streams are not that high at the moment. But I don’t think he’s in the same league as Ed or Adele where we would assume that with any song

This sounds good but don't think it sounds as massive as what people were expecting.

It's not really wow, sounds kinda forgettable on 1st listen

I really like this! It doesn’t reinvent anything but it’s a solid bop.

 

It does start rather abruptly though lmao, that caught me off guard.

I think it's a really good track and listened to it through a couple of times back-to-back. It's not a piano-led ballad either, which makes it more listenable for me.

 

But it could be Tom Grennan. It could be Dermot Kennedy. But then it would enter the charts in the bottom half of the Top 100 rather than near the peak of the top half.

It's ok, his voice is still really strained in parts on it for me, especially in the second half of the song, and it does sound straight out of the 'Tom Grennan No.9 peak songbook'.

 

Probably a No.1, but maybe not a really long runner, especially with Guetta and Bebe doing well.

 

I do wish him well and respect him for cancelling the promotion of the song this week. Still intrigued to hear the album.

This is actually quite growing on me, the growly vocals can be a bit much but it's got a very catchy chorus and I appreciate that it doesn't just sound exactly like every other song I've heard of his.
