Posted April 8, 20223 yr This week's final competitive episode is a Rumix, in which the queens must record a verse and star in the music video for this season's runway song Catwalk. This challenge will decide who makes the final and who is left at the last hurdle! I always love a Rumix, hopefully this has verses as great as Gottmik's Lucky verse *.* (As an aside, the finale has filmed and we (all but confirmed) know the winner, no spoilers at all in here as always but just be aware you might need to be a bit vigilant on social media just in case!!)
April 9, 20223 yr Author CAMDEN!!! She absolutely ate that Rumix and every part of this episode, her win wasn't spoiled (it was meant to be Daya) and I was GAGGED to see it but fully deserved. Daya did great too, no way could she have not been in the final after that. Honestly Bosco should have been in the bottom over Willow, but Willow murdered Angeria in that lipsync?! I thoought Bosco had by far the weakest week of the bunch, other than the runway. It felt like storyline that they made those two lipsync and they probably would always have done a top 5 of this bunch. They could have just not done it as a non-elim without even a lipsync but I guess they want the drama and good TV and friendship moment, rather than just "you all make it through" :lol: Now I'm a fully delusional Willow stan, FULLY team Willow, but I'll happy with Lady Camden too if she does nab it, if anyone had to beat Willow. She has pretty much murdered this season, she could have had 4 or 5 wins for me even, but it doesn't feel like a cold or "professional" run because she's got a spark and personality to everything she does. Willow is just SO my thing though in terms of her drag and humour, I adore everything about her and she's such a unique queen who stands for so much and that is a Drag Race winner for me, above any track record etc., that's what matters most, everything about Willow screams winner to me. Camden to me is slightly more All Stars winner energy, you get the sense that she'll come back and DeLa a season, like she'll DOMINATE it
April 9, 20223 yr Surprised to see Camden win this as well. I had spoiled to me that Daya made the top 4 for several episodes now but I didn't know who else did. Unsurprised by the double shantay as the editing this episode suggested that might be the outcome. There was also no way Ru was going to let Willow go after essentially calling her out as his favourite. Hard to call who wins now! It feels to me that Daya and Angeria have the least chance. Camden is absolutely for me the most deserving but I've called out Willow as the winner all season long although her drag isn't my favourite. Bosco is the winner I'd be least satisfied with as honestly I just don't think she's that versatile and her comedy wins have all for me been questionable.
April 9, 20223 yr This was actually really good as far as top 5/music video episodes go I think Daya REALLY deserved the win this episode, she was the best in every single aspect for me (runway, designed look, performance and lyrics) Agree that Bosco should have been in the bottom with Angie, and that Willow 100% won that lip-sync The problem with this season is they seem to think that saving both Willow and Angie and having a top 5 finale is a big gag, but really what would've been a huge shocks if one of them ended up missing the top 5. As much as I love them both that's the kinda shock I'm looking for, not ANOTHER double shantay
April 9, 20223 yr Most of the time I'd sigh at another double shantay but honestly I'm really glad, this is such a strong top 5. I'm not huge on Daya but I can't deny she's deserving of top 5, and I've been rooting for the other four throughout the whole contest. The standard is so high and losing one of Angeria or Willow before the final would've felt weird - I do think they were the right bottom 2 though unfortunately.
April 9, 20223 yr Bosco and Angeria seemed like the obvious bottom two, but I get the storyline they were going for. I do think they all did well though. I know the non-elimination episodes and now a final five is a bit of a meme but this cast has made this the best US season in years. I'm not mad at all that we have gone from seven queens to a finale in two weeks.
April 10, 20223 yr i really want to be mad at there being a top 5 but honestly what ELSE would we expect from this season?? that said, it really should have been daya’s win and bosco getting the chop. i loved willows verse and thought she should easily have been safe ! the win has to be between camden and willow now. if daya had been judged correctly over the past few weeks i would throw her in too, but it’s clear she’s not pegged as a winner. team willow all the way !
April 10, 20223 yr how is the lipsync for the crown going to work with 5 of them btw ?? I’m hoping for something like season 12 (without the lockdown) where the queens come up with their own individual performance/talent, and then the final two lip sync. That's pretty much what's happening, they are doing a live performance each that they have come up with, and then the top 2 lipsync for the crown. I much prefer that to lipsyncing for the crown all the way, especially when we already had a lipsync smackdown thing, it also obviously works better for having more in the finale because I was really wondering if we would get a 3 way lipsync and those are always underwhelming or messy.
April 10, 20223 yr I feel like out of all of them Bosco is the one flying the most beneath the radar? In challenges/recognition etc (not so much confessionals). I think it is very tailored towards a Willow win just with the producing, storytelling and some of the buzz words from Ru etc but also Camden because of her growth, the same could be said about Daya since she was technically the first to go but came back and made the final etc. I think Daya is being pushed on us by the judges more whereas Camden actually has the talent and likability for her story to be seen more naturally. It's a shame for Angeria as well because I feel like she was the frontrunner for weeks in the beginning but then she kinda began fading to the back, again that could be due to editing but yea I don't think this has been tailored to Bosco at all?? On paper Moulin Ru should have been up her street but she bombed that lmao Bit of an absurd take when if that argument is to be made at all it would be for Willow or Camden in my opinion! :lol:

April 11, 20223 yr Author Tbh I think I'd put her behind Lady Camden and Willow, if you look at how well she did in Swept Away. I think she is one of those dependent on song, but I suppose you could say that about Angeria too if she had like a soulful diva ballad in a stunning paegant gown. Daya idk because she's not terrible but of the three she's done, they've been pretty bang average lipsyncs despite good 4 u totally being her wheelhouse. I think with this crop, it's a good thing there isn't a lipsync for the crown as I feel Lady Camden and Willow are the only ones who you could count on for a good lipsync to most kinds of song. I think it's just fairer in general for them to do their own performance too, they win based on who they are and what they can do, not by fitting themselves into a certain box (usually a lipsync to a big pop diva that RuPaul wants).
August 4, 20222 yr Such a good epsiode and all the queens did really well. Daya was the winner for me. I loved everything she did this epsiode. Lady Camden was a close 2nd. I thought Willow would be safe and Bosco bottom 2 with Angeria. Willow/Angeria had such a cute lip sync. But why did they do a song like "Telephone" when both were wearing dresses that were really hard to dance/performance in? :lol: I could see both Angeria and Willow wanted to do more but were restricted. Interesting to see how the finale goes!
