Wow! After losing a lot of faves early on I’ve ended up with my 30 and 28 pointer in the top three, and I love the other song in there too.

Not that I don’t enjoy Vienna though, it’s an epic but I didn’t quite have space for it.

An absolute classic, so close to the top 3:(

Loving what’s left though. Tears For Fears for the win! (Although it’s bound to be Aha).

Oops, just one of my votes left, that to win please x (although it'll be out next with how these results seem to be going compared to how I expected!). Sweet Dreams and Vienna really deserved top 3, although I suppose Vienna is officially the honorary number 1 so that's not too bad, the instrumental section of that song is glorious.

Bye Vienna. Sorry, but I do prefer London. :P

Oh well my 30 and 29 pointer are top 3. :o

How many people still have their 30 pointer left Gezza?

Well I wouldn't have expected Pet Shop Boys to end up higher in this rate than they did in the 80s #1s!

I gave Vienna and Sweet Dreams 20 and 21 points but they could have been in either order really - it came down to Ultravox having a handful of songs which rival it for me, with Sleepwalk my current favourite, while Eurythmics don't quite. Vienna is still magnificent of course and was so famously held at #2, I'm still surprised it isn't higher here.

Oh nooooo what a shame that 'Vienna' has missed the top 3  my stunning +30

I love everything about it: the dramatic build-up of instrumentation (including the marvellous break), the rush of the fleeting situation in the lyrics and the killer vocal delivery of the chorus.

Well, at least my +29 is still in this :P

'Vienna' would have been my favourite remaining from these songs. An distinctively eerie sounding song. The video is brill too except for the big spider that appears in the middle
rooting for Aha at this point
An epic sweep of a classic. That said, I prefer Midge's Fade To Grey (with Visage) or his solo If I Was, and the George-Martin-produced Reap The Wild Wind is pretty fab too.

I too prefer Fade To Grey (although most definitely not If I Was) but Vienna is a great and distinctive track that deserves the praise it usually gets.

Happy however this pans out really, all of the top 5 got 20+ points from me so an excellent set of results

I'll predict 1. Aha 2. PSB & Dusty 3. TFF.

I do like the PSB song myself so I'm fine with it being here just thought it wouldn't be so high with a lot of these huge songs!

1985 comprises two of our top 3 favourite No 2’s of the 80s with this one trailing in in third place. It got 30 points from West, Popchartfreak, and Gooddelta

Ahhh. Wonderful song, shame it couldn’t win but wow at how well PSB and Dusty has done!

I do prefer Sowing the Seeds of Love and Mad World, but that's a great song too. Did better than I thought it would!

I guess I'll be rooting for the obvious one to win then!

OMG :w00t: I don't think anyone has more points left than me: 59 points. :P

Pet Shop Boys for a surprise win please 😆
