Yeah looks like Dua Lipa’s “record” may just about be safe. Tbh it’s a matter of time - can see it happening this year.

Is anything out next week that would sell more than Dua Lipa’s record?

Fontaines D.C.'s album will certainly pass that mark just from first day sales ~

Oh yes, hopefully Fontaines D.C. will actually get the #1 this time after the underhanded tactics that they lost out to with their previous album. #neverforget
Nice to see Digga D increasing his lead from Ed. I hope he can deny Ed an extra week at the top

Weird update for Digga D, 4k in 4 days and

Now he does nearly 2K in 1 day?

I'd say even a top 100 would be nice, a bit like Billboard

Is the Billboard chart ever played on radio in America?

There use to be one I did listen to back in the day

now there are Youtube channels that countdown the top 100 from 100 to 1 every week but just 5 seconds per song

When last I checked, their radios do their own version of Big Top 40 rather than play Billboard's chart.

lol baby is huge huge deal in america so clearly he’s trying for their market in the knowledge that uk will eat anything he puts out regardless.

huge in America, he released 2 new singles last week, which both peaked outside the top 10, for me thats not very huge

and cannot recall any hit of him as a lead, and not even one as a feature...

and why Ed would care about the US? his main market is the UK, in the US his main forte is radio

and the radios that play Shiver wont play an Ed ft Lil Baby song...

These last couple of entries have lifted Lil Baby to having 100 Hot 100 hits in the span of 5 years, also his 2020 album was #1 in the US for 5 weeks, he is definitely a huge artist there. Obviously that tally of 100 includes a lot of flash in the pan album tracks and features but he has had quite a few singles that had lengthy runs - 'Yes Indeed', 'Drip Too Hard', 'Close Friends', 'Baby', 'Woah', 'We Paid', 'Emotionally Scarred', 'The Bigger Picture', 'Sum 2 Prove' and 'On Me' all made it to Billboard year end charts as did his features on Pop Smoke's 'For The Night', Drake's 'Wants And Needs' and DJ Khaled's 'EVERY CHANCE I GET'.
He also featured on the worst song of 2021 'Girls Want Girls' and for some reason teamed up witih D Block Europe. I quite like 'Drip too Hard' but everything else I've heard of his has been dreadful - I do know 'The Bigger Picture' was commended for its social message though post the BLM protests in summer 2020.

Don't think Ed'll have this number one with 2step.

Harry Styles is still very strong with As It Was.

And The Kid Laroi is releasing a new song this friday. I think it's going to have a huge start.

Does the US have an official chart (or even an unofficial) US chart show on broadcast media that plays or reviews the top 100?

No to both of these

Kid Laroi should do.pretty well but can.see it reaching no 1

Drip Too Hard is the only Lil Baby track I can remember how it goes but perhaps it's just me being European. Meaning even some of the big rap stars never make it here.

Kid Laroi releasing on Thursday makes no sense, or is there someone his label is afraid of on Friday?
