Really not keen on her overall especially her post “Music Box” eras but would say “Vision of love”, “Make it Happen” and “All I want for Christmas is you” are her best- latter ruined for me by overkill.

So many classics :cheeseblock: All I Want for Christmas Is You would naturally be my favourite in November/December but the rest of the year round, it's Fantasy :wub: other particular favourites are #Beautiful, Always Be My Baby, We Belong Together, Touch My Body, My All, Hero and Dreamlover (and Big Energy is one of my current faves :wub:)

'Without You' (like the original of that one too), 'All I Want For Christmas Is You' and 'Touch My Body' would be my top 3. 'Fantasy' is also fab too.

‘Fantasy’ is my fave from the list but there’s a bunch of great songs on there.

Not a popular one but my favourite is Thank God I Found You, I absolutely love both the UK radio mix (which Stargate produced) and the Make It Last remix.

 

Close second would be We Belong Together and third All I Want For Christmas Is You. All three are among my all-time favourites.

Apart from perhaps her major hits, the first song I fell in love with from Mariah was My All and still to this day I regard it one of the best pop ballads I know, but I don’t play it that much these days, probably not in a few years now in fact. Other than that, Hero and Without You are both beautiful recordings too. :heart:

It used to be 'My All', but these days I think it's 'Can't Let Go'.

I'm not much of a Mariah fan at all but I really like '#Beautiful'.

AIWFCIY by some distance - a song that transcends not only Mariah's catalogue but most of the genre of it being a Christmas song. After that, Always Be My Baby, and probably Fantasy next (although that's mainly down to Tom Tom Club's Genius Of Love which it samples).

Her earlier stuff like hero was brilliant but not liked much after the butterfly album.

My fav is Love Takes Time, her 2nd single and follow up to Vision of Love,

a #1 in the US but just low top 40 in the UK

Other fav tracks were not UK singles (I Don't Wanna Cry) or not even singles anywhere (Prisoner)

Always Be My Baby! I usually hate to go with the obvious choices but this song is so special to me. Other favourites of mine are Butterfly, When You Believe, Fantasy and #Beautiful. Breakdown is probably my favourite non-top 40

 

Beautiful is the song that really got me into Mariah, great to see her have another hit almost a decade later :wub:
