Juan Mata will leave Manchester United on a free transfer when his contract expires this summer.

The 34-year-old midfielder who helped Spain win the 2010 World Cup, cost United a then club-record £37.1m when he joined from Chelsea in 2014.

Mata, who scored 51 goals in 285 appearances for United, played in seven Premier League games last season.

Agree with what has been said about Juan Mata and on a personal note I've not been to Old Trafford many times but on most of the occasions that I have he managed to get on the score sheet. Also he was always enthusiastic about greeting fans and taking pictures with them on his way out via the car park.
I guess the plan to put Mata in our back room set up left with Ole which is sad. I have a lot of time for Juan. Not the fastest man on the pitch, but really smart. Also I think like just a nice presence in the dressing room

Newcastle are in talks to sign Stade de Reims striker Hugo Ekitike, although it is understood there is still a long way to go in completing a deal.

Eddie Howe's side were interested in the 19-year-old in January, but a move fell through when Ekitike wanted to finish the season in France.

Newcastle want to add cover after being without Callum Wilson for four months last season because of injury.

Ekitike scored 10 goals in 24 Ligue 1 appearances last term for Reims.

Tottenham have completed the free signing of former Southampton goalkeeper Fraser Forster on a contract until 2024.
That's an interesting deal re Hayden - I suppose Norwich are looking for players who they can guarantee can get them back into the Premier League.

Well I wouldn't be relying on him myself, he's terrible!

Liverpool have rejected a deal worth £30m for Senegal forward Sadio Mane from Bayern Munich.

The Reds have been left bemused after the German club returned with the offer after an initial bid, reported to be worth up to £25m, was turned down.

Liverpool are understood to want about €50m (£42.8m) for 30-year-old Mane considering Bayern's similar valuation of 33-year-old Robert Lewandowski.

£30M? What an insulting offer

Guess he’s 30, has one year on his contract and we got Thiago for 25m off them lol but yeh worth the iamspamspamamisink imo!

Liverpool are close to signing Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez from Portuguese club Benfica.

The deal is expected to be worth an initial £64m with about £21m in add-ons.

Nunez, 22, scored 34 times in 41 appearances across all competitions for Benfica last season.

Potential is amazing so happy enough but will be hard to replace Mane who is a legend!
