The double cassette finally arrived, and honestly it’s a bit of a let down… neither side of the cassette has a fold out sleeve. It’s lazy! So there’s no credits or lyrics or extra pictures. It’s the same for Tension’s single cassettes… but I thought maybe they’d have made more of a design effort for the double cassette. Each side’s inner sleeve is just the orangey/red mountain picture, similar to Padam Padam’s art.

Disco’s double cassette has one fold out sleeve with credits & additional pictures.

Oh well, at least the designer made sure that the track list on the back cover isn’t upside down for Tension, which was the case for Disco! :drama:

Not that it bothers me but just an observation: they’ve not factory sealed any of the Tension cassettes. I’m sure they did for all her previous cassettes!

I think overall quality has been poor this era - for Disco everything felt quite ‘Deluxe’ and some real effort went into them particularly the vinyl releases.

This time everything feels slightly cheap and rushed, there are lots of complaints over the image quality of the signed prints that came with the bundles plus her autograph seems to have deteriorated (I get it though totally - they have had her signing a lot with no question over them being authentic), it’s just a bit :nocheer: to lose quality when the aim of the record company is to get people buying 20+ copies.

It could be on its way - some of my stuff I received today still is showing as though it’s not been sent on my account!

So adorable!

Kylie done nothing for the Irish market in fairness - couldn’ve been an easy #1 with a bit of effort, it beat Disco though which entered at #4!

Yeah the double-cassette is disgustingly poor quality and I agree with ___∆___ everything does feel like it has been done on a budget. Thankfully the music itself is quality so I'm not that fussed but for the next era I will be more cautious to spend on the physical items.

Also praying we move on from Aries as creative.

Honestly, same. :( I hate to say it but I just don’t rate their work very highly. Kylie’s next album needs a fresh eye, for a hopefully fresher outcome.

Also for the next album, I’d like the design team to go with a “different pictures” approach to multiple variants, rather than “different colour scheme, same picture”. At least Golden had a different picture for the picture disc, and all the Disco cassettes were different pictures. This sadly didn’t happen for Tension.

As ___∆___ said, the signed print is indeed horrible picture quality. I felt very “meh” when I saw it and it doesn’t feel worthy of being framed, I’ve just put it away in the vinyl sleeve. A shame really because it’s a stunning picture, but how it passed a quality check I really don’t know.

Yep the quality of the packaging is generally lower but the sound of the vinyl

is great, and so is the music.

Number 1 with well over 50k….we wanted even more but that’s an excellent result especially all of the vinyl sold.

I’m not complaining, three signed items snatched, they’re priceless. Thank you Kylie x

The fact that even with shifts in the market we’ve seen - Golden 48k, Disco 55k, Tension 53k, the consistency is incredible!

I was only thinking this before I read your post, great achievement for kylie and she will def extend that number. Here's to her 5 consecutive and 10th in total on the next campaign.

47 Tension

72 Padam Padam

81 Hold On To Now

3 Kylie songs top 100 and no physicals..... (maybe Tension had a few)

Thats a good hold and actually rise from Tension to be honest
