Dance and country-leaning songs. Interesting.

The album will feature both dance and country-leaning tracks, the source says, with contributions from hit songwriter Ryan Tedder, who co-wrote her 2008 hit "Halo" as well as hits for Adele, Taylor Swift, the Jonas Bros. and his own group, OneRepublic. Also said to be involved is Raphael Saadiq, who has crafted hits for Mary J. Blige, D'Angelo, Stevie Wonder, John Legend and Andra Day as well as his own excellent solo albums, and executive-produced A Seat at the Table, Beyoncé's sister Solange's widely praised 2016 album.

It was unclear whether the country songs will appear as a separate album, or as part of the first edition of Renaissance. Country is not new terrain for the singer: "Daddy Lessons," from 2016's Lemonade, is heavy on twang and was even covered by the Chicks (then known as the Dixie Chicks).

While the source did not say this, it also seems possible that Beyoncé could drop a new song as soon as tonight in honor of Juneteenth, as she did with her "Black Parade" single in 2020.

Creating this album allowed me a place to dream and to find escape during a scary time for the world. It allowed me to feel free and adventurous in a time when little else was moving. My intention was to create a safe place, a place without judgment. A place to be free of perfectionism and overthinking. A place to scream, release, feel freedom. It was a beautiful journey of exploration. I hope you find joy in this music. I hope it inspires you to release the wiggle. Ha! And to feel as unique, strong, and sexy as you are.

Sounds like Chromatica to me lol

The track listing is out there now.. and so it should be .. 9 days until release and still no video for BMS!

Alien superstar & plastic off the sofa though..

its very unlike beyonce to have visuals...

apparently this album features meghan thee stallion, ariana grande, jay-z and keke palmer.

It has samples of Elvis and Bowie also.

The composer credits for all of the songs are out now, a few interesting names involved (070 Shake, A. G. Cook, Sabrina Claudio standing out to me) although not clear how many of them are proper collabs vs. just songwriting / samples / backing vocals. Probably safe to assume there's a Drake feature on track 11 at least. Maybe a chance for some redemption for house Drake (if that is another house song).

I think out of the names in dannjohn's post the only one who's on here is Jay-Z so look like those were some fake rumours lol

In my eternal lateness I've only finally heard 'BREAK MY SOUL' in full today, I like it more than I was expecting to based on the initial reception to it (and it's certainly better than any of Drake's attempts at house songs from his album xx) - I'm glad the 'Show Me Love' sample is at least utilised slightly transformatively rather than it just being a 500th song to use it in the exact same way *cough* Charli XCX *cough*. Big Freedia remains an icon as well

I am liking the look of the names involved! The album is going to be stellar I bet. I hope she has many bops on the album *_*
