I agree. If you're going to rework a song, it's best to choose one that wasn't a big hit.

 

I do wonder how many people actually remember it. It's 17 years old and didn't really set the charts alight at the time, but it was on Now 62 which probably helped its exposure.

Climbs to #67 in the UK

Climbs to #55 in the chart today in the UK and has also reached #4 in NZ.

Whilst this isn't anything too special I am enjoying it wayyyy more than that mess that was 'Down Under'. It's #40 in today's update too. Wouldn't be against this one being a big hit when other average ones have done so.

Luude with this and Down Under has an interesting style of drum and bass with the choppy basslines - wonder if there is a technical term for this subgenre of drum and bass.

 

I would welcome this being a top 40 hit.

I loved the song back in the day and still play it from time to time. I'm kinda getting into Luude's version too now, I'm here for it blowing up.

I expect Big City Life to achieve a Top 20 peak.

I hope it goes further. Sadly 'Down Under' got so high that it's probably too unrealistic to match it's peak or get close to.
