Possibly if we held eurovision in the Uk then there would be some sort of outcry regarding rights to host it here because of brexit.

But Eurovision and Brexit are completely different things

This is a great song, but “break your can” is such an Americanism

The line is "break your camera" :kink:

Biography

Tion Wayne

Tion Wayne is the North London cult hero climbing the mountain to the top of UK rap royalty. Making his breakthrough in 2014 with debut mixtape Wayne’s World, the icon from Edmonton effortlessly dissected his experiences of trapping, the street life and run ins with the law. Later, Wayne’s World sequels in 2016 and 2019, via 2017’s Transition EP, would further Tion’s standing in the scene, keeping the streets fed and cultivating his now undeniable status as a staple in UK rap today. His musical dexterity has been proven over a myriad of sounds, from UK drill anthems such as one of 2020’s best, ‘I Dunno,’ and ‘Keisha & Becky’ with Russ to assist on hits such as NSG’s Afroswing-leaning ‘Options’. In a relatively brief time, Tion has racked up multiple UK Top 10 singles, over 500 million streams, frequent radio play on BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and placement on the popular Spotify playlists Hot Hits UK, Rap UK and Who We Be. Critical acclaim followed in 2020 with his GRM Rated Award win for Track Of The Year for the colossal ‘I Dunno,’ proving just how far Tion’s music has travelled and inspired. - Spotify

La Roux

La Roux (/lɑːˈruː/ lah-ROO) is an English synthpop act formed in 2008 by singer Elly Jackson and record producer Ben Langmaid. The act's debut album La Roux (2009) was a critical and commercial success, winning a Grammy Award and producing hit singles such as "In for the Kill" and "Bulletproof". Recording of a follow-up album was marred by unsuccessful collaborations, the cancellation of two planned release dates, and reported conflict between the duo. Langmaid ultimately left the group in 2012, and Jackson released a second album, Trouble in Paradise, in 2014, maintaining the former duo's name as her stage persona. The album was a critical, but not a commercial success, and La Roux subsequently parted ways with Polydor Records. She released her third album, Supervision, independently in 2020. - Wikipedia

Biography

George Ezra’s spirited folk-pop sing-alongs could have thrived in any era, but their mix of worldly curiosity, unbridled optimism and a few playful loops and synths reflects a truly millennial ideal. Born George Ezra Barnett in Hertfordshire, England in 1993, the singer/songwriter grew up seeking comfort in the wordplay of folk laureates like Bob Dylan and Woody Guthrie and the raw, emotional resonance of blues masters like Lead Belly. He trained his voice to sound as bold and booming as the latter, and honed his writing chops while travelling—an activity he’d been fascinated with since falling in love with Paddington Bear as a kid. The fictional teddy would come to inspire Ezra’s 2014 debut album, Wanted on Voyage, a phrase found on Paddington’s suitcase. Singles “Budapest” and “Barcelona” burst with buoyant acoustic hooks while evoking the modest sensibility of Ed Sheeran. They also represent a clear sense of place, and Ezra’s eternal wanderlust, something he slips into each of his effervescent works—whether that’s finding “Paradise” in love or riding “Shotgun” to anywhere. That exuberant joie de vivre feels ever more evocative under the influence of his robust baritone, a soothing sonorousness that goes down like a finely aged wine. - Apple Music

I’m sorry you can’t just sample La Roux, name check half a dozen footballers, and call that good enough.
George should be in the top 5 because Cat should be on ACR. She had 3 declines which means she should be on ACR, not avoiding it

Biography

Lizzo is here to let it out. Body positivity, queerness, the embrace of the self in all its possibilities: For her, the freer, the better. Yes, she’s a singer. And a rapper, and—wouldn’t you know it—a pretty impressive flautist. But she’s also an emblem for the idea that social progress starts from within, that her loving herself (and you loving you) is the first step to fighting the forces that keep marginalised people—Black, female, LGBTQ and otherwise—down. “I think that there’s a wave right now in human experience where we want to feel good, and we’re seeking out the practice of self-care and self-love,” she told Apple Music in 2020. “I think my music just happened to ebb and flow with the way we’re evolving as a people and a culture.”

Born Melissa Jefferson in 1988, she grew up between Detroit and Houston, making her way through the Minneapolis indie community in her early twenties. She worked steadily through the 2010s, forging a confident, outsized blend of gospel, R&B, hip-hop and pop before breaking through with 2019’s Cuz I Love You. She could be funny (“I just took a DNA test/Turns out I’m 100% that bitch,” she raps at the beginning of “Truth Hurts”), vulnerable (“Cuz I Love You”), quirky (“Batches & Cookies”) and empowering (“Juice”). In every case, though, her music brings a muchness, a saturated sense of vibrancy and humour and soul and self-assuredness that just kinda makes you feel good. It’s hard to argue it when, upon accepting the 2019 Apple Music Award for Breakthrough Artist of the Year, she said emphatically, “I deserve it!” - Apple Music
