Sunak v Morduant final two with Penny the winner. Be afraid Starmer. She'll beat you in the election as she'll hold those Red Wall seats.

I doubt it. After the last few years no one from the Conservatives will win the next general election.

Don't be too sure. Remember they have an 80+ majority which will be very hard to overturn in one election. Even our Suedy has said that.

Labour fear Penny more than anyone else.

The north remembers. The scabs won't rush to the polls for anyone but Blojo the "lad", buoyed by Brexshit. Sorry :(

 and then you woke up.

I think Mordaunt could seriously cause damage to Labour - which is why it's heartening that Tories (Right Wing press and now Lord Frost) are doing the hatchet job on her. too.

My dilemma is whether it's best to have Truss in as PM (diabolical for country then lose GE) or Mordaunt (not quite as bad as Truss but could well win GE).

Honestly none of the above the only right answer here. Along with „I’d rather eat broken glass“ and „how do I emigrate?“ (although for me it’s more, is embarrassment grounds for claiming asylum)

If one of them must win, Tugendhat seems to be the least atrocious of a truly vile bunch. So naturally he will be knocked out next.

See Truss has appeared with her oven-ready campaign. Trussed-up could well get a new meaning if she got to be PM. I think a lot of us think of either turkeys or bondage when when we hear her name bandied about. Another Cartoon PM would be helpful though.

Swella and Baddie Knocker are cannon-fodder everyone knows it, they're just there for the high-profile jobs afterwards.

I see everyone raising the ghost of Thatcher as what they want to achieve.

So we can look forward to millions on the dole, unions diminshed, a war that we started by winding down the Navy from where they were needed, huge Council Tax rises to pay off the huge debts, attacking gay rights, selling off Council Houses for votes, and giving global bankers free-reign to destroy the global economy by becoming too big to fail, no monitoring and lending cash to dodgy mugs. Followed by getting stabbed in the back when they become a liability for the next election.

I'd say we are already half-way through that list and they aren't even there yet....

Not seeing anything credible to address the cost of living crisis among the remaining contenders. All of them appear focused on reducing taxes at the expense of decimating the state which is only likely to add fuel to inflation and make matters worse.

I doubt the Tories will be elected with any majority next time. It’s more likely to be a hung parliament. The only reason they got a big majority last time was due to Brexit.

And their leader being inexplicably popular with the electorate at that point in time. :(

Remember it has to go to the membership folks. The 1922 has stipulated that. So one dropping out like Andrea Leadsom did in 2016 to make May PM can't happen.

I have 3 first cousins who live in chilly Penistone, next constituency to Barnsley. All lent their Labour vote to Boris last time but won't next time. Penistone back to Labour then.

Rumours that the press has some dirt on Penny but will sit on it for now. Couple of scandals apparently. Labour will use that at the election then if she's PM. ;)

Cruella is out!

Lol which one?

Oh, dirt won't wait till then, they're using it on each other already.

Swella Bravo fans will go to Trussed-up or Baddie

Tom Tug next, his fans will go Richie Sunny or Penny Lame (as Macca called her after her heartfelt advice on his set-list not being up to par, and by inference that her traditional Tory policies are like classic Beatles. Only in the sense we will all be singing Help!)

Then Baddie fans go to Truss and suddenly Trussers back in the running.

so Rish on maybe 120, Lame on 100 and Trusser on 140.

Unless Tory MP's decide they do want to try and win the next election and avoid Truss and reluctantly the Penny drops. In which case it might go entirely as predicted as Sunak v Mordaunt with a fanbase pisssing themselves with delight that they are in with a shot after-all if they go PM4PM ©.

Brexit was the only reason why they got a majority and the people who voted for both that and for Conservatives have had to live with the consequences ever since. They're partly the ones who also have the cheek to moan about Boris Johnson breaking his own Covid rules.

I'd say it was partly Boris too, as the loveable funny buffoon.
