I'm afraid so - I do hope it's a slim majority (certainly lower than Johnson's 2019 win over Hunt with 2/3 of the Tory party members) as that will weaken her mandate considerably as she wasn't the top choice of the MPs at all. Not that I don't doubt she'll destroy herself within weeks she's that awful.
Sky News says: Monday announcement by the Chair of the 1922 Committee. Boris is still PM but Tuesday early morning both Boris and the new PM fly together on an official Govt. plane to Scotland and on by cars to Balmoral. Carrie goes too as does the spouse of the new PM, probably Mr. Truss. Boris sees HM first to officially resign then the new PM. Only the new PM returns on the official plane. A speech by the new PM scheduled for 4pm Tuesday outside No.10.

The fact the handover is in Scotland due to the age of the Queen says it all…..
Johnson would just pretend he’s on mute and return to Downing St!
It is fitting that Johnson’s final speech is one in which he blames Gordon Brown for not building enough nuclear power plants even though Brown implemented a report giving them the go ahead in 2009. A liar to the end!

my memory of nuclear power events is that Cameron was fawning over China to build and operate one (and rake in the cash from it) and May cancelled it. Along with allowing NIMBYS to overturn windfarm plans and the like. I may be misremembering and they built loads of power stations over the last 12 years.......

Are we gonna take bets on how long it takes for the UK to turn into the purge and truss to impose martial law?
Truss is going to be a nightmare. She is the final nail in the coffin for the Tories. I wouldn't vote for her in a GE.
Yes, our only hope is that she f***s up so spectacularly that it completely torpedoes the Tories' electoral clout. Which I'm thinking is likely given she's far from the most competent or intellectually gifted individual on Earth.
Excited for Truss. Let's see what she brings!

You looking forward to having your workers rights cut?

Excited for Truss. Let's see what she brings!

You can be excited for Cornyn, someone who would effect REAL CHANGE. You cannot be excited for ... that gormless thing. Sorry.

Excited for Truss. Let's see what she brings!

More Rough Edges no doubt!
