It's a shame 'This Hell' made no impact whatsoever, it felt like everything was set up for it to (raised profile, super commercial hit-sounding pop song)

 

Certainly felt like one! Just goes to show the radio station you listen to can make anything feel like it was huge even if it got to 873981791836 in the charts. Only ever B-list too, seemed to be on loads, maybe I just tuned in at the right times.

Jessie Ware keeps getting Hottest Records even though it'll be Radio 2 that'll be giving them all the daytime airplay! Still think JW being binned off daytime was very premature. Most of her 2020s singles would have fitted in just fine on the playlist.

 

Plus she's only in her mid-30s, a year older than me in fact! :arrr:

Really hope ‘Tell You What It Is’ and ‘Cake’ can make the A-list at some point, probably my two favourite songs at the moment.

Anyway the vocal in BOTA is quirky, so TikTok-friendly.

She was up until her last era ('Slow Grenade was playlisted in 2020). They might ditch her from hereon in or they might just give her another era of (limited) support.
