Eliza Rose maybe in with a shot of being #1 next week even if LF SYSTEM avoid ACR at this rate?
imagine if it had good playlist! BOTA is only track #30 on HH, while LF System has been #1 for a couple months now :) so definitely has a lot of potential to grow still
BOTA is probably going to be #1 until October if it's gaining this fast with nobody knowing the song yet.

I'm just glad that Stay With Me is gonna outpeak Potion. SWM is honestly the only good song on the album #sorrynotsorry
I’m actually surprised at 1. How well Stay With Me is actually doing, it’s the best from a very poor album but still nothing special, 2. How weird it’s Spotify chart run has been, up and down like a yo-yo and now just shy of 300k today
BOTA is probably going to be #1 until October if it's gaining this fast with nobody knowing the song yet.

Well surely a lot of people must know the song for it to be rising so quickly

I wondered how it first became popular. According to this NME article, it became popular after being played lots at Glastonbury.

The quirky vocal is perfectly aimed for TikTok vitality though I think though as I said before.

I wouldn't describe the vocals on 'B.O.T.A. (Baddest Of Them All)' as "quirky" (nor do I get why you seem to think 'quirky vocals' are the only thing that matter for TikTok virality based on how many times you've posted that lol ~)

Alok can stay away pls x

Its movements do seem to whiff a little of the suspicious early run of 'BMW'.

Playlisting will only mean it stays top 10 until next year and maintain its placing, if it’s rising it’ll continue to do so no matter what due to tik tok and all them other Yooth devices young people a hooked on these days!

I remember reading a lot of comments on YouTube with people saying they played BOTA at the bars at Glastonbury and heard it at other festivals. It's also #2 on Shazam so it's clearly resonating well from the airplay it's been getting

If it were a TikTok sensation, I think it would have a global impact but it's only charting in Ireland and the UK

The streams for Stay With Me have been bizarre since day 1,

one da climbing 20 places next day dropping 30 places... suggest something fishy, illegal streams or something

well, at least now streams could be genuine due to high playlist+album release

UK (/Ireland) specific TikTok trends are a thing tbf. 'Seventeen Going Under' was a huge TikTok song but barely charted on Spotify anywhere outside the UK and Ireland for example.

Well, "nobody" is an exaggeration of course, but this is the pattern with a lot of mega hits. I remember songs like Call Me Maybe and Somebody That I Used To Know acted like this at the beginning. If a song shoots up the charts just from 1 play on Radio 1 or one viral YouTube video that has 1 million views, or even Glastonbury. Those are small audiences, probably a couple of million people know the song so far. Imagine when 30 million people have heard the song.

It's different with something like Green Green Grass for example. It's certainly smashing, but it's been exposed to tens of millions of people by now. It's been on big TV events, all over the radio, etc, so I wouldn't say for a certainty it will ever get to #1 (or much higher than it already has). But surely not many people can have heard BOTA yet, but since the few (million) who have are responding like this I think it's a surefire #1 really.

Yeah they are, and BOTA is one of them. Looking at all the most popular videos featuring the song, they all certainly appear to be UK-based.
