wow Arctic Monkeys in at #1, wasn't expecting that
Personally I think the #1s this year have been dreadful lol, Starlight was/is amazing but the other 7 have all been tragic imo, so another tragic #1 this year wouldn't change much for me. That goes for BOTA as well as I Ain't Worried.

Agreed, I’d go as far to say the only great no.1 so far this year is Kate Bush.

I can’t believe Guetta and Bebe are coming for a top 10 debut, incredible! I really do think it could challenge for number one in a couple of weeks time!

Is this finally Words week to sneak top 40! :cheeseblock:

We Don't Talk About Bruno was fine I guess but such a random #1 on retrospect.

I've quite enjoyed the #1s this year, I've charted them all in my personal chart except Starlight but I don't mind that. Eliza Rose would easily end up my least favourite of the year oop.

I've liked all of the No.1s apart from Dave personally. Bruno, LF System and (if she gets there) Eliza more than the others, but all are good.

I wish there was quicker turnover at the top though, to have 7, 10 and now 8 weekers in the same calendar year makes it very dull.

For me LF System and Kate are both fantastic, Harry is good, I forgot all about Gayle already , Bruno is an annoyance and that Dave track isn't exactly exciting or interesting compared to what he can do.

Would've been nice if Beyoyo snuck a week in there.

Completely agree but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a soft spot for Gayle oops.

We Don't Talk About Bruno was fine I guess but such a random #1 on retrospect.

I suppose Bruno is very much a no1 of its time when the film was huge!

My two pennies worth; LF System and RUTH are both fantastic! The Harry and Dave tracks are both but good though not their personal best, decent #1s. Bruno and Gayle were both highly irritating. Eliza Rose would continue a good streak. 4/6 isn't bad but fgs only 6 #1s.
I suppose Bruno is very much a no1 of its time when the film was huge!

Yeah true, it was strange though, unlike Frozen which was a phenomenon, Encanto just felt huge all of a sudden and then sustained it then all of a sudden feels forgotten about. Not like completely forgotten about but nothing like Frozen or Greatest Showman which had hit songs from it.

:cheer: To think it doesn't have a huge amount of playlist support either. Up to #22 on global spotify and reaching the top 10 in multiple European countries today. A music video release yet to come and playlist support still being quite low... Going to be massive.

Happy to see Lizzo's "2 Be Loved (Am I Ready)" re-enterting the top 200 on spotify. Hopefully it'll get an add to HHUK and Today's Top Hits this week when both playlists update.

Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God) >(>>) As It Was > Starlight > Afraid To Feel > We Don't Talk About Bruno >>>> abcdefu for me, but I genuinely love all of those first 5, would rate all of them at least an 8.5/10 personally! (And same for 'Easy On Me' if we include that too, would rank that 3rd)

Kate obviously a classic, 'As It Was' has actually only grown on me over time (think it may now have overtaken 'Golden' as my favourite Harry song), 'Starlight' is certainly not Dave's best song but still great, 'Afraid To Feel' is the best dance #1 for a long time and while Encanto does feel like a bit of a fad now it's one that I really enjoyed and will have good memories of. I don't entirely hate 'abcdefu' either, I actually kinda liked it at first but the novelty of it wore off quickly and it is just a little on the cringe side now (but at least it's not as bad as Leah Kate lol).

Eliza Rose would be a way behind Encanto but a way ahead of GAYLE for me (a solid 7/10 song, GAYLE is like a 4/10).

Also wow at Arctic Monkeys grabbing the #1 on Spotify! I expect it'll drop off quickly but still a great achievement for them, wasn't expecting that after them not making the top 10 on Apple. Interested to see how they do on streaming with their album especially with being in direct competition with Taylor Swift.
