There are a couple of tweets saying Björk has already prepared the songs for her upcoming album titled 'Forresa' which is rumoured to be released this autumn. Hoping to see a couple of high-art tracks!

ATRL insiders claim the first single is coming August 24, it's going to be "Atopos"

Her new album is called Fossora, the feminine version of the Latin word for digger. On the cover, she is a glowing forest sprite, her fingertips fusing with the fantastic fungi under her hooves. Compared with the cloudy electronics of 2017’s Utopia, it is organic and spacious, earthbound rather than dreamy, and filled with warmth and breath. It is also a world of contrasts: the album’s two lodestones are bass clarinet and violent outbursts of gabber. There are moments of astonishing virtuosity and bewildering complexity and, like much of her recent music, a resistance to easy melody.

 

It sounds terrible. I can't wait!

For some reason I misread that as 'violent outbursts of gammon'. 😔

Love that that’s just the single artwork, it’s stunning.

Can’t wait to see the album artwork if we get something that great for the single. The colour palette :heart: It’s like Biophilia’s twisted sister. Let’s just hope Fossora’s better than that album, as it’s probably my least favourite of hers.

Looking forward to hearing new material from her anyway, it's been 84 years etc. (and I didn't really pay attention to her last era anyway oops, but I know I've been a fan of pretty much everything I've heard from her)

I made a new thread initially but then someone integrated it to this thread :kink:

I started a new thread with the right title when it was announced 2 weeks ago

but was merged with an old thread with the wrong title and the wrong title was kept

I think the previous album’s thread was still titled TBA and that’s where I got confused. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. I’ll fix it in 30 minutes :lol:

There is a mediation thing happening soon.

 

Online stores are changing the release from Sep 30 to Nov 25.

out on pre-order in lots of websites now including Rough Trade which has a clear vinyl exclusive limited to 2000

not the prettiest though, there's a Burgundy and a blue one which are nicer
