I have two songs left, my one pointer and my thirty pointer. Hopefully they’re top two.

Y'all been demanding it for AGES so here it is!

NO 5- 391 POINTS

Better Off Alone DJ Jurgon Ft Alice Deejay (Voters: Waspbre- 17pts, Daan- 27pts, Dot Mirrorball- 17pts, Jimwatts- 19pts, Riser- 21pts, Chez Wombat- 11pts, Colm- 7pts, Julian T- 22pts, Gooddelta- 29pts, Roba!- 1pt, West- 15pts, Bjork- 24pts, Jason- 24pts, Torple- 15pts, Gezza- 29pts, Mack- 21pts, Narcow-17pts, AH Gold- 30pts, Chartjack2- 14pts, Coi- 12pts, Jade- 16pts, Jester- 3pts)

I'm demanding The Manics to leave for ages. :teresa:

I'm rooting for Born Slippy to win.

the Manics song is amazing, one of the best written songs of the 90s, so probably the next one out

A very decent top 5. But I would hope for Born Slippy out next. The other three are in a totally different league.

'Better Off Alone' is a bona fide classic and more than deserves its top 5 place.

I love all the songs left, I'd probably be good with any winning but I'd probably say my order of preference would be...

4. Bitter Sweet Symphony

3. Born Slippy

2. A Design For Life

1. Common People

That was the one I was referring to :kink: Still a fantastic song and a dance classic. Definitely should've been a number 1 over bloody Westlife x

I have no preference for who wins as all were in my top 10, pleasantly surprised The Verve have finished this high (probably out next now I've said that x)

Only one of the remaining four didn't receive double-figure points from me, so I'm hoping that'll be the one to miss the podium - even if it's still great too

funnily the last 4 songs left... 3 are my top 3 and the other one was top 10, so there's one I like a bit less

but they are all 4 solid classics and some of the best songs in the history of music, all are 11/10 songs

Some difference between the top two dance hits!

Born Slippy could be released this year and sound fresh whereas Better Off Alone sounds very 1999!

Only Colm gave this 30 points but it made the top 10 for 9 other voters and becomes our 2nd favourite No 2 of 1996.

The strings get me every time - simply stunning and one of the best songs ever!
4st 7lb is my favourite Manics song from the 90s and Faster runs it close - however A Design For Life was the first song I bought by them and is definitely my favourite post-Richie single. A pleasingly high finish for this, I don't think I would have guessed top 10 at the beginning of the rate but it does deserve it.
