Eeek at Two Door Cinema Club not even charting with their latest album (very limited physicals meaning it’s limited to downloads and streaming only is a choice in this day and age, though I get the idea).

:(

If that wasn't enough I heard a track on Radio 1 today which was copying TDCC's distinctive guitaring style too! Not sure what the track was called.

There’s no physicals at all this week! A vinyl release is coming later in the year.

Looks like they / their label are just opting out of the album chart meta entirely. I'm not sure why they would choose to not even release a CD version though?

WHY AM I HEARING RUMOURS ABOUT A MR. BRIGTSIDE RESET??!?!?!

ANS WHY DO I KEEP HESEING I'M BLUE (DA DA DEE) ALL OVER IN THE OUTSIDE SUMMER PARTIES?!

I think they went full Lorde and claimed it was for "environmental reasons" when I read an article about it recently.

I’m glad to read that it seems to be a deliberate decision and not just a complete fall off in interest. But it’ll still be sad to see it ‘flop”

but I think it's cos they don't wanna play the first week sales game and do all those signings and stuff

rather than for the environment

bt also Im assuming songs like Mr Brightside or 505 cannot get a rest cos they're not the current single

both bands have a current single right now (Mirroball and Boy, respectively) so they cannot ask for a reset I reckon unlike Tom Odell's case

They refer to that as one of the reasons in the Music Week interview, it’s not the only reason tbough.

If you read the interview, the main reason is not playing the game, the environment is mentioned but far from the main reason

To be fair if we wanna play that game, Tom Odell also released a new song like a month and a half ago and the streams on that are in a similar ball park to the new Killers song

If they are repromoting a different track then I think it doesn't have to be the recent release, but the record company needs to show an active campaign for it I believe.
