Originally a 2015 single from their 2016 debut album ‘Tell Me It’s Real’, Yorkshire duo Seafret’s ‘Atlantis’ has become their first charting single and this week reached the lofty heights of #50!

 

They’ve always been a very underrated band really, so it’s great to see them finally having some mainstream success.

I bet it goes top 40 next week, its doing very well on Amazon (#34 today) and #100 on Spotify

I heard it for the first time today and I really like it. I must listen to some more of them. However, the new Suede album takes priority followed by some Springsteen, specifically songs with a heavy dose of Clarence Clemons after enduring a class of Year 7s try the saxophone for the first time this afternoon :lol:

I have a feeling this will continue to grow the more I hear it. Really makes for a refreshing change hearing songs like this and then 'Mary On A Cross' make the UK Top 40 in amongst the grime and sampled average dance music!

Time to reset the 'days since someone referred to rap music as grime' counter again :kink:

Heard this for the first time on the chart on Friday and it's been getting better and better with each play for me, love it :wub:

As someone who became a Seafret fan around 2018/19, I hadn't heard this song before but really glad they've managed to get themselves a Top 40 hit!

Up ever so slightly for a new peak of #38 this week.

Great to see it get a new peak - hopefully it hangs around for a bit
