Suede's last album would have been around 9k on the Tuesday mids (8.1k Monday, 9.7k Wednesday) and their last 2 albums had similar opening weeks (~11-12k) so wouldn't expect too dramatic of a dropoff from that? Which makes me think Rina is possibly looking at doing 10k+ which would be a very impressive jump from the previous album missing the top 100 entirely.

BLACKPINK's last album did just under 20k first week, I would have assumed about the same or better this time but I saw last night that it's surprisingly projected for a lower first week than their debut in the US. Still, would assume it's safe to do at the very least 15k or so?

Hopefully Black Pink are extremely frontloaded and the gap isn’t big.

Only wishful thinking for Rina of course.

BLACKPINK are way bigger on streaming so I would expect the gap to only grow unless Rina has missing sales.

I'd keep expectations in check with Rina. I'm fully expecting it to plummet by Friday but even a Top 10 would be an incredible result considering the last album didn't even make the Top 75.

I guess knowing what the sales gaps in the top 5 are is the only way we'll get a clearer picture.

Aside, if that BLACKPINK/Rina top 2 holds that must be the first ever all* Asian born top 2?

*minus BLACKPINK's ROSÉ being born in New Zealand but close enough

Might need to check this one.

Brilliant for Rina even though I fully expect her to drop a few places come Friday! Top 5 would be amazing and seems doable but obviously let's wait and look at the numbers...

In the albums:

04. Marcus Mumford

05. Pink Floyd

12. The Stranglers

18. Lissie

22. Credence Clearwater Revival

26. The Proclaimers

27. FLETCHER

33. Death Cab for Cutie

Mura Masa not even T40?! Previous albums debuted at #19 and #23 respectively, so not good.

Thought Marcus Mumford would do better given Mumford & Sons albums sell really well.

As if Eliza has managed to overtake Lewis. I hope "Psycho" can go top 15

I imagine it's pretty close between BOTA and Lewis, but hopefully 'I'm Good' has a decent enough lead now to remain number one.

Yay, go Rina!

Both Rina and Blackpink's albums were disappointing, but Rina's was still far, far superior. I hope she goes number one after all.

Big drop for Robbie #1 to #38
So happy for Rina, one of the best albums of the year for sure! Hope she can at least hold on to the top 5!
I think BLACKPINK will be safe for #1, can see Rina at absolute lowest 3/4 which is an amazing result!
Rina already over 10k is amazing to see! To go from missing top 100 to this in just a couple years is crazy so glad she’s getting the success she deserves
