September 26, 20223 yr I think David Guetta will still hang on - hes still #1 in todays update and multiple versions are climbing on iTunes (Currently 1, 8, 37 & 84)
September 26, 20223 yr Just noticed Robbie's album up to #11 in the mids; obviously he usually experiences much better initial few weeks than this but it's nice to see it's not quite as much of a disaster for him as that 1-38 drop was in the Monday update of his second week.
September 27, 20223 yr I think Robbie has a chance to return in Top-3 (maybe even at #1) in a week (Oct-7). His real promo in UK will be started this Friday. We will see.
September 27, 20223 yr It increased 3 weeks ago (w/e 15/9/2022) so its not that (also only been on the chart for 6 weeks) It climbed marginally 3 weeks ago like by 100 copies but thats the total sales, we don't know if the streams increased too
September 27, 20223 yr Even a top 2 debut for Sam is impressive. I thought their days of big hits were over!
September 27, 20223 yr It climbed marginally 3 weeks ago like by 100 copies but thats the total sales, we don't know if the streams increased too That week (when Ghost climbed 33-28 officially) its combined sales increased by 128, but the market fell by more than 1%, so its streaming would have needed to fall by more than 100 SES to count as a decline, meaning an increase in pure sales of at least 230 at the same time. It only moved 72-70 on the Sales chart, so I'd say that's highly unlikely.
September 27, 20223 yr I think Robbie has a chance to return in Top-3 (maybe even at #1) in a week (Oct-7). His real promo in UK will be started this Friday. We will see. I think Top 3 will be tricky with quite a few big releases on Friday: Slipknot, The Snuts, Bjork, Craig David.
September 27, 20223 yr not sure about Craig David, he delayed the album cos all the pre-album singles flopped but 6 months later he's in the same situation
September 27, 20223 yr Can’t say I’m a fan of D Block Europe but at least it has good streaming numbers, which if it keeps hold of #1 should soften the blow & it’s never a bad thing to see Electra Heart in the mids. One of my fave pop albums ever!
September 27, 20223 yr I would pay money to stop D-Block getting the #1 album this week One of the worst ‘duo’s’ of recent music by a country mile
September 27, 20223 yr Yeah, I can't see Craig David troubling the top three really. It's a shame because he's released a couple of decent songs from it so far.
September 27, 20223 yr Even a top 2 debut for Sam is impressive. I thought their days of big hits were over! I know 'Love Me More' belly-flopped, but I was always of the mind they'd easily get a big hit again with the right song/situation - like now.
September 27, 20223 yr Mark Owens album reduced to £4.99 on iTunes now - I know he has a few HMV signings left this week but I really hope they throw all they can at it to keep him as high as possible.
September 27, 20223 yr guess DBE's label figure out that 5SOS weren't having great preorders and thats why they switched weeks? How would they know how many pre-orders 5SOS had? It's not public information.
September 27, 20223 yr I'm quite surprised that BMG chose to release albums from 5SOS and Mark on the same week.
September 27, 20223 yr I'm quite surprised that BMG chose to release albums from 5SOS and Mark on the same week. They’ve done it with other artists - I guess they’ll put artists head to head that they feel have a limited chance of reaching #1? Also I’m sure the international arm of BMG probably has more of an input over the 5SOS release whereas Marks is a ‘local’ release
September 27, 20223 yr guess DBE's label figure out that 5SOS weren't having great preorders and thats why they switched weeks? crazy how 5SOS have fallen in popularity, and they have cazillions of bundles and multiformats DBE are independent artists!
