January 22, 20232 yr Four of us did turn up to the listening room at 4pm. Arsenal v Manchester United was a fantastic match to watch so I'm glad in the end that I didn't have this as a distraction.
January 22, 20232 yr Author ^ oh you were one of the people I didn't think I'd be able to contact, I didn't actually bother checking the room myself :kink: nevermind, hopefully that'll be a one-off technical difficulty.
January 22, 20232 yr Shakira - Objection (Tango) The Strokes - Last Nite Sugababes - Stronger S supremacy (next in line would've been Sophie Ellis-Bextor as well )
January 22, 20232 yr I know these are very Buzzjack selections but: Shakira - Underneath Your Clothes Gabrielle - Out Of Reach Sugababes - Stronger But I’m also very happy to second In Da Club.
January 22, 20232 yr Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (Echoes : The Best Of) Queen - Who Wants To Live Forever (The Platinum Collection)
January 22, 20232 yr My afternoon felt empty without this D: Seconding In Da Club & Last Nite and in the absence of anything else I'm that into from the time period, Pink Floyd's Comfortably Numb from the Greatest Hits album. x
January 22, 20232 yr These would be my choices from the #2 albums: Alanis Morissette - Hands Clean Prince - Thieves in the Temple The Strokes - Last Nite / The Modern Age Christina Aguilera - Fighter Madonna - Drowned World / Substitute For Love
January 22, 20232 yr I've got the list prepared slightly less last minute this time so we should actually start on time this week, hooray! This on the day the site goes down - Alanis Morissette would have had something to say about that :kink: I had an unexpectedly busy afternoon anyway, but it would be nice to have another way of getting in contact if the site goes down again. I didn't have the Discord link but I've got that now. I hadn't thought of saving down the SyncTube link now that it's always the same one - guess it'll save time not having to go through the thread anyway.

I didn't save the SyncTube link - I just got it from my browser history.
January 22, 20232 yr Lol I did turn up in the SyncTube but it was more to confirm that Buzzjack was down for everyone else than anything. Will ponder on the #2s
January 22, 20232 yr Author I guess if people are fine to just navigate to the SyncTube link of their own volition then if this does happen again in the future I will just go ahead with it as usual - fingers crossed it won't happen again anyway though (Phil says the downtime today was because of a hardware failure so hopefully that will be a one-off and we'll just be back to our usual multiple small downtimes every day instead of one long one ) And yes Jim I was thinking that :') I'd laugh if I wasn't crying internally x
January 28, 20232 yr Tom Verlaine of Television has died :( The excellent Marquee Moon would be a suitable song for the RIP slot.
January 28, 20232 yr Tom Verlaine of Television has died :( The excellent Marquee Moon would be a suitable song for the RIP slot. Yes please! Wonderful song  (RIP though </3)
January 28, 20232 yr #2s: Shakira- Underneath Your Clothes Sugababes- Angels With Dirty Faces OR Stronger Pink- Family Portrait Christina Aguilera- Fighter The Strokes- Last Nite (it's giving "one of these things is not like the other" lmao )
January 29, 20232 yr Author So after last week's rude interruption due to technical difficulties, we go ahead with week 16 for real today. Here's the teaser blurb I posted last week just before the site went down in case people didn't see it. x I've got the list prepared slightly less last minute this time so we should actually start on time this week, hooray! 46 albums covered this week - the most we've had since also having 46 in week 5, and the joint 2nd most, still miles behind the outlier of week 1 covering 61 albums - bringing us up to June 2003. Expect a few heavy songs here and there, and a few more classics that charted surprisingly low. We'll also be crossing the 666th #1 album, will it go to someone appropriately demonic? https://sync-tube.de/room/yfweF2_6 :jump:
January 29, 20232 yr The question is have you used what would have been this week's preparation time to prepare next week's?
January 29, 20232 yr Author The answer is no, and I will no doubt be back to scrambling to prepare next week's session either late Saturday night or Sunday afternoon. :D
February 3, 20232 yr @Bre, could you post last week's tracklist so I can re-listen to the final part that I missed? mange tak
