Not sure I get the hate for Rihanna’s new one. I think it’s actually a sweet tribute tbh. I think it’s one of those that when seen in the film will make people like it more.

If they were gonna add anything Ella related, I'd rather it had been 'Heartstrings'. Sigh.

Yeah I don't think it's awful! It's actually nice and think it'll be a grower, people just had such high expectations so we're always going to be somewhat disappointed.

Love that Sam is placed so high - I think that’s his highest placement yet by far on NMF!

I don't expect Rihanna will be going to #1 but I hope she can at least go top 10 with this

It sounds perfect for a film soundtack the context is important and I'm sure there will be tons of fan edits of the movie using the soundtrack once it's released.

I love ballads and love Rihanna's ballads

Stay is one of my fav songs in the history of music

I even like old-fashioned ones like Unfaithful but

was really expecting something more "modern", in the vein of Kiss it Better

this is too dated and the opposite of exciting, of course it's not awful but lacks the wow factor

it starts!!

I'd say that's a strong start! I don't think it'll go #1 but could see it getting Top 5 - maybe a similar chart run to 'Hold Me Closer'.

I think its a huge start cos it was released in the morning not at 12pm and Apple is super slow

 

Nice also to see Fred Again-Delilah in the top 40 on Apple and Dean Lewis just outside...

I'm always slow with knowing what's good on Apple Music at this time tbh :')

 

On Spotify not much movement, but Meghan is up to #35! I think it's climbed every single day this week which is unheard of.

Taylor's still got 8 out of the top 10 :cheeseblock: Anti-Hero #1 with 659,752 yesterday.

The new Rihanna song is a massive grower, will be several weeks at number 1 in a few weeks time.

Loving to see the support for Rihanna, top of NMF and getting playlist adds... I can see a top 10 debut. But I have to agree with others that the song isn't really doing it for me on first listen, maybe it makes more sense in the context of the film.

 

It seems the Drake album has been delayed to avoid losing to Taylor on Billboard because a producer has COVID.
