Yeahhhh

So the climb in streams evened out the loss in sales nicely. I would think it'd do another 14-15k next week again if streaming increases just a little bit (assuming the physical singles will be registered for the week starting June 9).

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

It has slowed down on both AM and Spotify unfortunately! Unless the platforms move her up in the playlists, I don’t see her going much higher on streaming.

If she manages a top-50 on Spotify, that could change a lot of course.

I'm not quite sure I agree. Top 50 on Spotify in the coming days looks achievable, it's bubbling around the borderline top 10 area on Apple which looks like a tough area and it's now entered and climbing on Amazon. I'm not seeing anything to suggest it's stalling.

I think it's for this upcoming week as people are receiving them already.

#58 on audio streaming! Drops 35-90 on video streams and climbs 81-59 on the overall streaming chart. Still #1 on downloads, of course.

FYI, 'Into the Blue' peaked at #65 on the audio streaming chart:

71-65-86-97 (first entry: 29/03/14) 4w

From Music Week:

Kylie Minogue’s first Top 40 hit in more than five years when it debuted at No.26 last week, Padam Padam now climbs to No.23 (15,788 sales). It remains at No.1 on the digital download chart (2,811 sales). Minogue could be joined in the chart by sister Dannii, whose new single, We Could Be The One was released today (June 2), and serves as the theme to BBC3 gay dating show, I Kissed A Boy

A new peak for Kylie then! I think it is worth noting, though that, when Into The Blue was on the audio streaming chart, it was not incorporated into the main chart. That came later the same year.

The sales seem massive - admittedly I don’t take a lot of notice usually in this area of the charts but are they higher than usual or the norm?

I would agree with that. Maybe it doesn’t have quite the momentum that it had before, but I believe it is higher now than in all three streaming charts this time last week, and therefore will be higher on the streaming chart next week than this week. It will always be worth comparing one Friday with the previous Friday though – so I look forward to seeing how she is on Spotify tomorrow.

Maybe I am overcautious now, since I predicted her to easily go top-20 this week, and now just trying to moderate my expectations!

But it is quite sad that up to before Eurovision 15.7k was easily enough to go top-20 or even top-15.

For this week I think she will do 15k on streaming, 2k on downloads and some amount of physicals. If it is again 2k, like with ‘A Second to Midnight’, she will be on track to 19k, which would equivalent for #15 last week. If she gets streamed and / or has more CD sales, we can hope for a higher position.

Thankfully this week we only have the new Dave and probably the Weeknd to trouble the top-20 from the new entries, so nothing extra should stand in her way hopefully!

If it starts to go a little south this week, you know they will have a remix ready, or include the extended remix on iTunes and streaming!
I think they will react this week if needed - they will see how the physicals and streaming are for the first mids and drop a remix, I think like always though BMG are in it for the long haul and will want to give it as many weeks Top 40 as possible.
The main issue right now is Hot Hits Uk not reshuffling. If it was moved up by 10 places we’d be on track for top 20 (without CDs) but I think it’ll stall for a week. Not the end of the road of course it takes weeks for songs to peak these days.
Thats what im hoping, id love it to stay around and keep climbing, react by ella henderson and switch disco took ages to peak and still continuing to do so, something like that for padam padam would be great.
Surely if it gets into the top 50 they’ll have to move it up a few spots

Let's say in the next week its streaming increases by 2,000 and the CDs add an extra 2,000, that would put it on course for top 15 or thereabouts?

Of course it's all just hypothetical, and in the words of a certain someone: "Let's see"

Now at NUMBER ONE in the rolling UK Airplay chart!

Wahoo! If it holds on officially then it would be Kylie’s sixth radio airplay #1 following the first three ‘Fever’ singles, ‘I Believe in You’ and ‘All the Lovers’.
