Kylie Minogue has her first Top 10 hit since 2011 and her first solo Top 10 hit since 2010 as Padam Padam advances 12-9. Increasing consumption 24.11% week-on-week to 25,867, it received boosts from the release of an extended version of the track, and a cassette.

Returning to Kylie, Padam Padam sold 1,504 copies on cassette, which has not had its own chart for some time.

However since the total sales of every other cassette single in the week came to just 15, it is safe to say it was a runaway No. 1. The last time more cassette singles were sold in a week was way back in February 2004.

Will be interesting to see where Kylie would have been without the cassette sales. Clearly, the track is still building in terms of its streaming popularity.

I think it could climb a bit and go top 5 - especially if a number of songs ahead of it go on ACR soon - "As It Was"/"React"/"Miracle"/"Daylight" in particular.

It's just in bad taste as the OCC/Radio 1 have official rights to the wider public reveals. No one is going to stop you but some people (OCC) get angry if leaks happen.

Praying the show her performance of PP and not just CGYOOMH - I’m hopeful they will now though considering the amount of attention it’s has got.

 

If they do show it then PP could get a decent boost from it as it’ll be crossing over to people who maybe have yet to hear it.
