I hope Kylie doesnt do a duet with Madonna. I cringed when I heard that in the interview. I feel like people are seeing Kylie as cool now where as Madonna not so much.

 

I wouldnt mind Kylie coming out at one of Madonnas tour dates but I dont want them releasing anything together. Madonna would jump at the chance with Kylie being hot at the moment.

 

They are just very different artists at the moment with very different styles.

A new download would be best. Physical releases are limited to 3 formats for chart purposes and we will wait patiently for the 7”.

 

The download formats do their job nicely.

 

I don’t think we need anything this week? It’s holding its own on streaming and being moved up the HH chart will give it a boost.

 

Let’s see what the GP does with the song now and save the remixes for a week when it may really matter (eg: going atop 3).

We don’t really need another remix right now. Let streaming do its job which it will do judging by the numbers!

No more remixes needed yet. Save them to stop ACR or if we are fighting for a much higher position. It seems to be doing its thing and still climbing and streaming sites seem to giving more and more support.

Outside of the Sunday First Look, Padam Padam has never been higher than midweek #10 from Monday-Thursday! So #8, practically #7 really with it only 1 sale behind, is fantastic :cheeseblock:

 

The fact that Padam Padam could very well stay Top 10 on Friday without a physicals or downloads push is pretty darn amazing. :wub:

Agree hun, I think this will be top 10 on Friday. LeAnne will fall behind her as she just has physicals holding her up which will be massively front loaded. So I think Kylie will be between 6, 7 and 8 come Friday.

When you look at the top 32 songs there are like 12 Universal, 12 Sony and 5 Warner.

 

 

Then there are 3 combined for Kylie, Peggy and Jorja

I can’t copy and paste the text, but check out 5e in this link. There is always ambiguity in the rules, so you could well be right, but my interpretation is that once a format has been included in the charts, it can’t be unincluded. BMG, however, will have a better idea. They have probably had this discussion with the OCC already. I would imagine that the OCC are keen to support independents like BMG, and may well allow different interpretations of the rules to support Kylie.

I was having dinner tonight with friends,,,lamb shanks, mashed potatoes, a few greens and red wine gravy...I think I just digressed, anyway they have a 16 year old and a 13 year old and I asked had they heard PP, they hadn't, I showed it and they were truly mesmerised with a whole lot of "how catchy is this" too "Lordy that outfit" to "Shit Uncle Whoever I am,it's awesome"

Thrilled at this! With each passing week, it feels like another barrier has been passed and us fans can dare to dream a bit more. I'm over the moon this has managed Top 10 officially and yet it feels like there's still so much more it can achieve, particularly seeing it in the Top 5 on Apple Music and it's strong hold on Spotify, despite the weekend effect. As mentioned, it seems like it could achieve Top 10 just on the strengths of streams which really does feel like another verification of it being a hit with the general public.

 

The 25,867 units that 'Padam Padam' achieved at #9 just beats the 25,656 that 'Into the Blue' sold upon its debut week; also beats the 25,149 that 'Wow' sold when it was #5 and just behind the 26,662 that '2 Hearts' sold at #4. Below are the peak sales for all Kylie's post-2000 singles that currently beat 'Padam Padam' (I get I'm comparing chalk and cheese given the way the charts are compiled now, but just for fun):
