If you mute via the app I guess they can tell. If you mute your computer however I don't see how they can tell!? I did this for Melanie C when she released her last album, had it on the school computer playing all week with computer on mute :lol:

This, it’s a common ‘myth’ that Spotify have ways of telling if you’ve muted the music via their app but cannot tell if you play it through Alexa or something and mute that sound source instead.

I think they should push the mixes on her website at 59p this week.
