I'd welcome any position in the Top 10 - even though its chart sales will probably have fallen, it'll just be really satisfying to look at the chart run and see it managed to return to the Top 10.

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

meanwhile on US radio...

52 49 KYLIE MINOGUE Padam Padam 269 186 83 0.453

seems like this is coming, that US promo really came in handy! *.*

I confess I don't fully understand what this represents but if it seems good then that makes me happy!

I just hope that the "going for adds" thing on 1st August is the right tactic? That's still 3 weeks away hmm.

Tbh even if Padam Padam could make it onto the Bubbling Under chart I'd find that amazing!

it was outside the top 50 last week and then made it on around Sunday afternoon. I believe this is her first top 50 on radio in nearly 2 decades?

Amazing  I hope it continues to build then, and it'll be interesting to see what happens in the run up to that August impact date.

Someone has also uploaded the full interview but I don’t know if this will stay uploaded:

Very diplomatic answer regarding not performing at the coronation.

Kylie confirms nothing is currently in works with Ariana Grande (and she seems genuine about that) but would love to work with her.

Thanks for posting! We didn't really learn anything new there but it was a fun interview nonetheless!

Re-entered the US Itunes at 98. 5 extra sales

Ps. Is he like the Graham Norton of USA?

I’m finding the narrative around PP interesting - it’s being spoken about in America as if it’s a massive hit there already (which hopefully it will be).

It feels as though it’s being claimed as a global hit before it has been. I’m not against it just that it’s interesting to see the way the media are talking about it.

The thing is, it IS a global hit on Apple - it’s just Spotify stopping it from being a global hit. Or maybe I’m just oversimplifying things.

Yes I agree with this narrative is 'interesting' but it's not really a global hit and who can guarantee this unless they have Spotify deals sewn up and ready to go which include TTH playlist etc.

Of course she knows it's not a massive hit yet but has to go along with it and be all wow wow wow in USA.

If in UK then yes its been a massive hit for her and we have all the data to show it is etc

In terms of pop culture and the effect it has had on her profile then yes it has been a "massive hit". This has truly been a lightning in a bottle time.

I agree and I think a massive hit these days hun is different from when head was released.

I really admire songs from the phsyical era like head where people had to actually go to a shop to purchase the song. These days most music is consumed through streaming sites so it is hard to compare artists success these days to the physical era because it is much easier to stream a song included in your subscription than to pay £3 or £4 for a single and actually bother to go to a supermarket or woolworths hun.

If this song was released in the physical era I believe it would have a much higher peak, maybe even number one BUT I do not believe it would have as a good chart run as this song will have because people would buy a copy of the CD and that was it where as now its all about streaming, which continues for a while afterwards as well and you can continue to wrack up sales hun where as in the physical era, you wouldnt get more CDs printed constantly for years hun.

Also hun you need to consider the impact this song has had on for example the gay community and the impact this has had on a much younger audience. So in all it is a huge hit worldwide. Charts are not what they were so you cant always tell these days how big something has been hun.

All that is just my opinion but what do I know.

Sadly this isn't a playlist that makes much difference.
