I will be pissed if this gets stalled at #21 come Friday!!!

Yes, 11,21. 31,41 and 76 are very annoying chart positions. While I really want top 20 il try andcsettle for a climb and increased sales for this week.

Love that a 2024 Kylie release has achieved that - in the streaming era I never thought we’d see that in the UK or US.

It was definitely something I'll never forget/never quite believe was actually real!

I wouldn’t be mad at #21 - I never thought Kylie would get Top 40 as a solo artist again so the fact it’s looking to have a sales increase over last week and potentially climb too is madness

They should release an instrumental on her website. Keep doing one a week.

Then on impact week release all of the versions on to Itunes and grab the top 10 with 8000+ downloads lol

With you on this one.

#21 would be a great achievement if she's #24 in the midweeks.

There's always the next week or two when physicals are released to nab that Top 20.

Maybe they feel like they can hold off and go all out for top 10 the week of the CD single

It would have been quite nice from a "narrative" point of view if Padam Padam moved into the Top 20 in week 2, rather than Top 25. This week is unlikely to be its peak on streaming though, it should still grow beyond this week. I just hope it all comes together as perfectly as possible in week 4 when the CDs are out.

Personally I think BMG have played it right to only have the main version on streaming so far, so everything is concentrated on that. If the Extended Mix does end up coming to all digital platforms and more remixes, it should be when the original version is more established than it is now. Maybe the Extended Mix won't be on streaming any time soon if they want the CD to seem extra desirable.

Yep agreed.

But don't forget that CD is 6.99 in total and not sure how many you are expecting it shift in UK? 1000 max? It's not a 99p free P&P giveaway its nearly as expensive as the album lol. I hope many buy it but I think some are expecting 10,000 to be sold lol.

Anyway am sure BMG have everything in order and planned.

Ps. Don't forget 10 out of 10 is coming too

Also nice to see it 15 on Ukrainian itunes.

I’d expect at least 2000 tbh. Really hard to predict but I’d say between 2 and 4 thousand. If streaming keeps growing or stays stable top 10 might be achievable so I don’t blame them for holding out.

Although saying that I did cancel my pre-order as I can’t really justify it atm lol

The ‘A Second To Midnight’ CD single was £8.99 delivered though and shifted nearly 2k copies in the UK, same with her various 7” vinyl which were £14.50 delivered and shifted upwards of 3k.

Kylie fans are a different breed when it comes to buying - agree 99p singles will sell more but BMG are not into the loss making side of business when they know they can shift significant volumes at full price plus inflated postage charges.

I don’t think there will be half the demand for the Padam, Padam single compared to ASTM considering the traction this song has and plus the fans know they are contributing to her current chart success by buying it, nobody thinks it’s going to shift 10,000 but it’s certainly going to sell more than 1,000.

The year is 2027, SmileyKylie is still inststing '10 Out of 10' is going to happen.

Plot twist - it never happened

“Stop trying to make 10 out of 10 happen, it’s NOT going to happen”

Positions have changed on Hot Hits I see. Kylie down at 38th

Oh thats a shame hun, where was she beofre this?

:nocheer: Meanwhile they still have old songs clogging up the top end of the charts
I don't think anyone, inc. BMG expected this kind of response to PP. Kudos to them for pulling all the stops on this unplanned success. I'm honestly surprised she doesn't have any UK slots lined up though. Back in the day, a new Kylie song meant that the UK would get its 1st radio play, 1st big interview, 1st live tv perf, etc. etc. I understaned she's relo'ed to Oz and all and can't just drive up to a radio station like before. But from a business perspective I'm just surprised she hasn't prioritised her largest market.

^^ I almost think it’s on purpose, let the song find its own way which it has.

Also there are very little promo opportunities in the UK and they will want to hold onto things like The One Show etc., for the album promo.

Good point! Although the album is 3mo away so they could get away with 2 ;) I miss the good ol' days!

36th, so only down 2. It's not the end of the world and it can always be moved up again.
