Sadly I just don’t see it being top-10 at all this week. It could have survived anything else, but Dave getting 8k from essentially just one day of streams will push PP down. Wrong week to release physicals, like we said.

Yeah I’m sure she’d have managed top 10 if she released the CDs next week.

I’ll still be happy if the extra push secures her a #12 or something rather than pushing her down to #16.

Me too I still think it’s worth it to push it this week where the bulk of the CDs will count. Probably too late now though for BMG to take action. I’m slightly annoyed tbh it’s been threatening to go top 10 all week and looks like it’ll just miss out

They can release the remixes digitally first, then a new CD single with the remixes after that.

It does feel like we have had to work extra hard to get the results the last few weeks. While other artists can just swan in and take it.

I mean to be fair even 3 weeks ago we would've all been accused of dreaming if we expected it to debut in the top 30 and then rise over the successive two weeks, but here we are.

ATLR saying the extended mix will be on streaming on Friday, and Popjustice saying a remix is coming next week.

Literally just had a dream that she'd ended up at #11 and Jay grumbled about her missing out by something like 32 copies.

Hopefully tomorrow has a strong boost of CD sales that haven't been reported yet, although Dave is worrying. Keeping my fingers crossed that Padam Padam stays Top 15, but I've let go of the dream of Top 10... for this week, at least. :cool:

In my mind, I’m playing the long game - and hoping that it will continue to build on streaming and peak in a future week. I am however, a bit concerned that its momentum has slowed. Knowing her record company, hopefully they will only add the additional sales this week if it looks like Kylie can make the top 10.

Yes streaming seems to be stalling which is why I’m worried this week might have been her best chance at top 10. If BMG were a little more reactive after the first look they could’ve got those extra sales in time

Release the first remix on a Friday. Not only will it get us all downloading we can also do playlists with the original and put on repeat for extra streaming numbers

 

 

Somewhere deep down I see one of the remixes getting more streaming numbers than then original. Just a hunch
