I don’t fully understand ACR but I did read that ACR won’t affect her chance to be #1 for Christmas. Some of the Christmas songs might though!

Depends on whether she can increase in sales at #1 as at the moment she's been holding tight but no.s have been lowering. The earliest it'll hit ACR will be the week beginning 19th December.

I can't think of anything threatening her between now and Xmas other than Xmas songs themselves.. Sam Smith announced their album tracklist though and there is a track on there featuring Ed Sheeran.

 

If that song is given the single treatment (which I think is very likely, I doubt they'd let a collab like that just sit on the album!) then that would be a shoe-in #1. I would imagine they will release a second single over the next few weeks?
