Yeah, maybe I was a bit harsh and with a better song she could get another hit but it does seem like she's at that stage of her career now where her label will be more focused on getting good album sales rather than chart hits.

It won’t be getting the support that she used to get for her songs. Unfortunately it’s often (but not always the case) what happens to women the wrong side of 40.

 

Also as I’ve said, she consistently does much better on sales than streams. Unfortunately, sales don’t seem to mean much at all anymore.

 

But I agree, it sounds like a hit. I imagine it could have been if it were released by some other artists.

Pink's new song is dreadful. A Jessie J meets Kidz Bop Can't Stop the Feeling knock off. If she released better material and it was getting low streams we could blame ageism but the song just isn't good enough.

I don't know, when ed sheeran did a Sky Full Of Stars (Celestial) look at what happened... it sounds way too 2016 for people who listen to music.

The music snobbery here is off the charts.

 

Celestial obviously wasn’t as big as his other songs but it still got pretty well supported just like all his stuff. The idea that songs are bad purely because they’re not supported or don’t stream well is absolutely ridiculous.

tbf irrelevant wasn't made to be a hit or catchy or anything, it was made as a political message. (not saying your not allowed to dislike it ofc, just pointing out it wasn't meant to be like casual shop background music it was meant to have lyrics with a message)
