Loved that!

Iran looked a step above Wales and it would have been criminal if Wales would have nicked a point.

Hard lines Wales.

Credit to Iran though. That was a completely different team to the shambles that we played.

A win for us tonight means we top the group so we might field a second string XI against Wales, although I'd still massively favour England even then...

Awful way to lose, but that's why I love football sometimes.

Iran did welll, still think Wales can spring a surprise against England if England qualify later.

Wow, what a game :o that was a tense game with 10 men

I agree with that red card, that's football.

If England win tonight, England will win the group and Wales are out. and England can take it easy on Tuesday, no matter what... win, lose or draw, they are through.

Ashley Williams saying that Iran “probably just shaded it” is hilarious. It’s always great how delusional the pundits get when they’re talking about their own teams.
One thing to add, we need more of Ian Rush, it was a joy listening to him.
A deserving win from Iran.
That was a brilliant match between Iran & Wales and it really did feel like a knockout match as the commentators were saying. It was a deserved win for Iran, they were much stronger in the 2nd half. It's gonna be a tough ask for Wales to beat England in the last group match and even then they will have to depend on the result of USA Vs Iran.

If it's any consolation to Wales, if England beat USA later we'll be all but guaranteed 1st place in the group, and will likely play our subs against Wales on Tuesday.

USA are through to the last 16, what was that protest about from Iran at the end of the game???
Iran properly bottled that match. Scoring goals had not been their problem but they totally froze under the pressure last night.
